My view on KIIT School of Rural Management, Bhubaneswar

College Management always ensures that we get all the required materials on time and never delays any sessions of the courses.

The course curriculum is good enough to train to fit into the development sector as well as corporate settings. There are 3 internships in the course, which provides enough experience and training to deal with all situations in the rural sector. There are many subjects covered in the span of 21 months. We will be learning and exploring different dimensions of Rural Management.

The placement scenario is very good. It primarily depends on individual efforts. Anyway, KSRM ensures 100% placements. The return on investment is very good. We can fit into either the development or corporate sector through the on-campus placements.

The events start with the fresher's program, Subharambh. It is the inaugural session in which we get engaged with the college. There are many events such as Alumni meet, Rural Management conclave and Agri-Business Management conclave. Other events related to cultural, religious, traditional, etc. also take place. The formal events include guest talks, which keeps us in tune with the ground realities.

The total course fee is Rs.6,47,000/-. It includes all the services such as Laptop, Blazer, all requirements in the Hostel including food, Library, and some field tours, etc. As compared to other management schools this is reasonably low. Maybe this is a step taken by the authority to provide the cheap and best education and encourage those who are willing to work in the rural development sector.

No, I haven't applied for any such scholarship or education loan. As my parents can afford the cost, I have decided to pay the fee without any loan.

There is life at KSRM, which is an unforgettable experience. Earlier, before joining I have just heard through other reviews about life at KSRM, but after coming to hear, I have realized that it worths more than that. KSRM teaches you how to love everyone. In many management schools, I have seen people competing with each other, but here I have observed that people love each other and they develop through networks.

The hostel fee is included in the course fee which I have already mentioned. The hostel is compulsory as it is a pure residential course. Hostels are clean and beautiful gardens present here to keep a positive vibrancy. The ambiance in the hostel and the hostel life is very awesome.

There is a strong Alumni network of KSRM, which always ensures that our school placements are job secured. Sometimes, Alumni come for guest talks to share their experiences and we are encouraged through their mentorship.

Firstly, I was searching for a right college (to pursue an appropriate course after my Urban Planning degree, to contribute to the needy in the country) according to my interest, during the final year of my graduation, then I noticed that MBA in Rural Management is the one and KSRM is my dream university. So, I came to know about the exposure, placement scenario, faculty, etc. Then I have strongly decided to get a seat into this college. I have cleared an entrance test, MAT and followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview.

The faculty at KSRM maintain a strong relationship with the students and always give support in all aspects. We are loved by them by heart. They always are down to earth and encourage us by creating a positive learning environment. I have learned many lessons on life after coming to KSRM.
