My honest college Review

Positive : it's located in Surat and that's the only positive. Some faculties are really good but they are so less Canteen is maybe the best thing of college. You get very good food at a very reasonable cost. Negative : Academics is Ok. Management is quite poor Infrastructure is very moderate against fees they take Placement : Just about OK

Course curriculum of Gujarat technological University which is followed in my college is quite outdated and not According to the demands of current industry. Curriculum is being changed but still complete makeover is needed. Exam: 70 marks of University exam is taken at the semester end. 30 marks internal exam is taken at mid semester.

There is a placement cell in college. Renowned Companies like Torrent power, TCS comes every year and gives job to around 20-25 students. As I am a 2nd year student I don't have any personal experience of Internship through college. But I know that college provide opportunities of internship.

Techfest: Kshitij Cultural fest Annual fest Techfest is organised every year by all the department of college. Technical and non technical events are organised In cultural fest Dance, singing, drama and other entertaining event take place

It's expensive as per the infrastructure and facilities provided by college Fee is more than 1 lakh. Infrastructure of college is nowhere near the fees they take No AC classroom, no AC in labs. In labs instruments not work great.

College doesn't provide any scholarship or so as far as I know But our Gujarat government has a scheme of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojna (MYSY) under which students get 50% of their fees or 50000 Rs. whichever is lower in their bank account itself.

Extracurricular activities are near to zero Sports is limited Labs are just ok. Many computers don't work properly in computer labs. Computers are slow like turtle. Technical labs have instruments but half of those are not properly working

Senior students are very much helpful They are so supportive. Alumni reunion is organised. In Gujarat seniors don't behave like senior. They are like brothers for us. They help us for notes of respective years

In Gujarat, Colleges under Gujarat Technological University gives admission through ACPC. All students who have applied under it get some rank based on merit list and then choice filling comes. According to choice and the merit rank student is given admission to respective college.

Some faculties are good and supportive. But many faculties are not at all good. Their knowledge seems to be very bookish. They could be called mediocre at best. Some faculties understand students' problems but some are very horrible at that.
