I’ll explain why Chandigarh University is a better choice than others. It’s great that you’re considering a master’s, especially in CTM. There’s a huge scope for CTM nowadays!

  • Chandigarh University excels in research work in civil engineering and has top-notch doctorate faculty to guide your research. With research at the core of our approach and a curriculum vetted by industry experts, CU is dedicated to achieving academic excellence.
  • The faculty in the ME CTM program has substantial experience. Most are PhDs or pursuing their PhDs. They focus on providing practical knowledge rather than just theoretical concepts, which is a significant advantage over other universities. As a result, many students have filed their own patents!

I consider myself well-positioned to answer this question. I’ve closely observed the entire system and can provide a clearer picture. Chandigarh University (CU) is a leading Indian institution with A+ accreditation. Over 25,000 students from across India and from developing countries choose CU!

From my research, LPU for B.Tech in Civil Engineering seems to have a stronger edge in placements and internship opportunities compared to Chitkara University for BE in Computer Science and Engineering. LPU boasts a solid placement rate of 80%, with top companies offering packages up to 15 lakhs, and students can secure good internships with companies like Accenture and Tata, earning decent stipends. In contrast, while Chitkara has qualified faculty and a good learning environment, the specific outcomes in terms of placements and packages aren't as highlighted. So, if you're looking for better job prospects and a more hands-on internship experience, I'd recommend LPU for Civil Engineering. However, if you have a strong interest in computer science, Chitkara might still be a good fit for you.

I believe Chandigarh University is the better choice between these two options. This university has accomplished a lot in a short time! After your ME, there are numerous placement opportunities provided by the university.

  • Grade: NAAC A+
  • 150+ placement options
  • Semester exchange options (Studying Abroad)

Chandigarh University is better compared to others. All facilities are available here. The infrastructure is good, the faculty is helpful, and placements are also available.

LPU for B.Tech Civil Engineering has a fantastic faculty-to-student ratio of 1:4, which is impressive compared to Chitkara University’s 1:10, making it easier for students to get personalized attention. The campus life at LPU is vibrant with various clubs and activities, plus they have a strong internship and placement record, with companies like Tata and Accenture visiting regularly. Chitkara University does have a solid curriculum and good faculty, but it may not offer the same level of resources or campus facilities as LPU. If you're inclined toward civil engineering with a focus on government job opportunities, LPU is a better pick for its supportive environment and higher placement potential. If you're leaning towards computer science, consider Chitkara, but overall, I’d personally recommend LPU for its comprehensive offerings and better student experience.
