Should I go for B.Com in LPU or B.Com (Hons.) in Galgotias University Greater Noida?

LPU's B.Com program is well-regarded for its extensive placement opportunities and industry connections, often resulting in higher salary packages for graduates. I don't have much knowledge about LPU, but I recently completed my BTech degree from Galgotias, so I can share some insights about Galgotias.

If you're interested in engineering, especially in CSE, Galgotias is a good option! It offers plenty of job opportunities. The faculty is highly qualified, and by the end of your BTech, anyone with solid knowledge can secure placements in reputable companies. Major companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Mindtree, Mahindra, Vivo, Ericsson, and many more are actively involved in campus placements throughout the year.

However, be aware that there are some rules at Galgotias that you might find challenging. Here are the rules:

• You must maintain 75% attendance for both sessionals and end-term examinations. If you fall short, it can be tough. If your attendance is low for the end-term exams, whether it's lab or subjective, you'll need to pay a fee of 2500 per subject and return in June to attend debarred classes, where you'll take your debarred exams.

LPUNEST is the National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programs at Lovely Professional University. This test determines eligibility for some programs and scholarships for most. Over 30,000 students have received scholarships totaling more than Rs. 300 crores in the last 5 years!

LPU set a new record on Day 1 by placing 610 students in 2015 and 550 students in 2016. This is a record for any university!

LPU offers a solid B.Com program with a diverse curriculum and a vibrant campus life, but Galgotias University's B.Com (Hons.) stands out with its specialized focus and potentially better faculty engagement in subject-specific areas. While LPU provides a fun campus atmosphere with ample opportunities to meet new people, Galgotias might give you a more tailored educational experience due to its honors designation. Personally, I would lean towards Galgotias University if you're looking for a more focused and in-depth study in commerce, but if you value a lively campus life and broader networking opportunities, LPU could be the better choice for you.
