ABES Engineering College is pretty well-known among private colleges in Uttar Pradesh. It was set up in 1999 by Mr. Ved Prakash Goel and is seen as a prestigious institution. The college is linked with AKTU and has AICTE approval. They offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It's ranked among the top 10 institutes under UPTU.

The campus is quite large, with modern labs, a library, and roomy classrooms. While it's primarily an engineering college, they also provide management courses. Admissions are relatively straightforward if you clear the JEE Mains or UPSEE Exams. The fees are fairly reasonable, with the annual tuition fee around ?1,10,000. This fee is just for tuition, and it can change depending on the specific course you choose.

College Infrastructure
ABES Engineering College is known for having top-notch infrastructure compared to other AKTU colleges in Ghaziabad and Noida. The campus covers 15.2 acres and features fully air-conditioned classrooms with projectors. The labs are equipped with the latest technology, and there’s high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. There are two canteens on campus, with additional night canteens in both boys' and girls' hostels. Sports facilities include a cricket ground, basketball and volleyball courts, and a swimming pool run by Fitso Academy. The entire campus is under 24/7 CCTV surveillance.

Academics
ABES-EC stands out in academics among AKTU colleges. For the past eight semesters, it has achieved top results with the fewest backlogs. It strictly follows the AICTE Curriculum and is accredited by NAAC as well as NBA for branches like CSE, IT, EN, and ECE. Most students graduate with over 75% marks. The faculty is highly focused and strict about academics, ensuring a dedicated approach to teaching and learning.

Placements
The college's placement record has been on the rise. In 2019, it received over 1,200 job offers, the most among AKTU colleges in Ghaziabad and Noida. The average salary was 3.5 LPA, with the highest at 10 LPA. By January 2020, the highest offer was 27.7 LPA. Eighteen students secured offers of 10 LPA or more, 40 students received 8 LPA or more, and 158 students got 5 LPA or more, with a total of 1,013 offers by then. This success comes from hard work and strong industry exposure.

Value-for-money
The BTech course fee is about Rs. 5,36,000, with varying hostel fees depending on accommodation. This is a moderate amount for a private college BTech course. The college offers many opportunities, including international competitions, entrepreneurship encouragement, and industrial visits, guest lectures, and training. It provides numerous facilities, making it a good value for money based on my experience.

Campus Life
ABES-EC hosts various festivals like Genero, Diwali fest, and Holi fest, along with events like TEDx, Spicmacay programs, and theater performances. There are clubs for a wide range of interests, from coding and literary pursuits to photography and NGOs. Students can take on responsibilities for major events like GENERO and TEDx, contributing to their overall development. The clubs frequently organize competitions, making these four years memorable.

Anything Else
On top of all this, seniors are very supportive. Some faculty members are outstanding, providing industry exposure and contributing to strong placement records. The college enforces strict discipline, including a mandatory uniform, which I find convenient as it saves time choosing daily outfits. While the college offers great opportunities, it's ultimately up to students to shape their careers.

Downfalls
When you join this college, you've already competed with around 1.4 million students in the JEE Mains exam. This highlights the need to work hard if you're aiming for top companies like Google or Amazon. These FAANG companies typically don't visit private colleges for placements, but if you're skilled in problem-solving and coding, you can secure such jobs off-campus, as 8-10 students do each year for 10+ LPA positions. This number is growing as students become more aware. For those planning to pursue GATE, CAT, GMAT, etc., the college offers placement training to allow you to focus on exams while having a job as a backup.

  • Infrastructure 4/5

  • Value for Money 4/5
