Maharaja Surajmal institute has one of the best campuses in IPU and the best institute for BBA in IP university. It is one of the top 3 colleges of IPU. I have a few friends at the institute, so I can give you some idea about the course.
With a rank of 2500, you would get in easily in the first counseling itself. With around 55% marks in English in your 12th and a rank of 3000 or below, you should get in the first shift without much problem.
The infrastructure and faculty is average for BBA and the course costs around 2.65 lakhs.
Having friends in both institutes, I am aware of their situation. Here presenting some facts which might help you get a clear idea.
Investment Outlook:
Placement Reports:
In terms of placements, both the universities are equally exposed to the industrial side.

Campus Life:
The choice, however, is yours. But in perspective with the above statements, MSIT would definitely be a better choice than SRM University, if considering the ROI factor, besides the IPU tag.
Yes, Maharaja Surajmal Institute has extracurricular, cultural events, and societies but they are just for the sake of it. The two events that are held every year in January are Avensis and Genesis.
There is no Placement Cell for the MSI students. In the domain of sports, they have a football team and they practice twice a week. Apart from this, they have a volleyball court and a table tennis room.
Speaking about IT and CSE, both are almost the same with some changes in their base subjects. Some of my friends graduated with IT and CSE degrees. According to them, apart from the first and second year, it’s the same. There are more languages in CSE.

If you are interested in programming so the college best for this would be in the order: -
Infrastructure and Facilities wise, MAIT has well-equipped labs with all the modern technologies and a large campus. BVP has a good Campus which is situated right near the metro station at a distance of 15 meters which makes for better communication. MSIT comes 3rd when it comes to infrastructure.
One of my cousins studied at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) and he never bought a single book for any branch.
You will get free access to all the books from the book bank. You will also get personal textbooks each semester as soon as you get your college IDs. There is an online portal available that helps in getting ideas about the books available in the book bank.
You will be required to pay for the book bank that has already been added to the college fee in the first year.
There is a book store outside of MSIT where students can buy books of Bhavya Publications which are easy to read and understand and written in simple language. It helps in scoring good marks in IPU.
One of my friends studied at BVP and his experience was really good there. You should go for IT at BVP. BVP is the most active technical college of IPU. They have a lot of active societies while CSI and IEEE and have many coding competitions frequently.
Though IT at MSIT also has good facilities, it is not good and does not make any efforts for the welfare of students.

| Average CTC | 4-5 LPA | 4.5 LPA |

Let me tell you that even though my brother was in MAIT, he got his first internship through BVP rather than his own college. Go for BVP without thinking any further.
UPES Dehradun is known in India for its petroleum engineering. If you are passionate about the branch and are getting it, then no doubt go for it. You will not regret your decision ever. However, there are some compelling reasons for choosing MSIT Delhi under certain circumstances.
| Categories | MSIT Delhi | UPES Dehradun |
| Course Fee | 4.69 lakh | 17.88 lakh |
| Highest CTC | 10-12 LPA | 15-20 LPA |
| Average CTC | 4-5 LPA | 8 LPA |
| Recruiting Companies | TCS, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, etc. | VMware, ZS Associates, Infosys, Wipro, etc. |
But the overall infrastructure and facilities you will get at MSIT Delhi are of much inferior quality than that of UPES Dehradun. The placements of UPES Dehradun are also better than MSIT Delhi. If money is not a constraint for you then UPES Dehradun is better than MSIT Delhi in many ways.
My elder sister joined the CSE program in 2019. Her rank was better, but with your rank, you cannot get CSE in the sliding round but you can definitely get into the ECE program with ease.
I presume you're from the Delhi state quota because only then you'll get into the ECE program at MSIT with ease in the 3rd sliding round; but, it's not possible to get into CSE, not even in the spot round.
As for IT, I am not really sure whether you'll get it. Even if you do, it'll be the evening shift; morning seems impossible though you can still try your luck in the spot round.
Your choice of the course and college should totally depend upon your interests. If you have an interest in the electrical domain of engineering then you should go for EEE. If not then you should consider the IT branch for your career. It is extremely difficult to study subjects that you do not like. Now, if you are only looking out for good placement opportunities and do not have any keen interest in both of these two domains of engineering then IT at MSIT can be a pretty good option for you as the placement scenario of the college is much better than that of EEE in MAIT.
Most of the EEE students enrolled in MAIT get job opportunities in IT companies as there are very few jobs available in the core companies of the Electrical Engineering department.
Also, MSIT is situated in the heart of Janakpuri, so you will have many good places to hangout with your friends in your free time.
A few of my friends graduated from AIACTR, MAIT, and MSIT. Here are some facts about these colleges, which might help you make a proper choice.
AIACTR –
MAIT and MSIT –
| Categories | AIACTR | MAIT | MSIT |
| Course Fee | 38,000 (1st year) | 5.73 lakh | 4.69 lakh |
| Highest CTC | 15 LPA | 23 LPA | 21 LPA |
| Average CTC | 8 LPA | 12 LPA | 10 LPA |
| Recruiting Companies | TCS, Havells, Wipro, Infosys, etc. | Accenture, HP, TCS, HCL, etc. | Bosch, Crisil, IBM, ITC, etc. |
MSIT is a good option if the infrastructure and strict attendance are not your major concern. If so you can easily opt for MSIT over the other two. However, make the wise decision considering other factors too.
