Since IP university will take BTech admissions through JEE Mains, what will be the marks required for colleges like USIT, MAIT, MSIT in JEE Mains?

Sandip Pal Posted On : May 29th, 2021

The mentioned questions are among the top colleges for B.Tech in Delhi. You need to score high marks in JEE Main to get admission to any of these colleges.

  • During the year 2018 - 19, students with a minimum of 125+ marks in JEE Main got admission to colleges like DTU and NSUT in the general category.
  • Now the cut-off marks will increase, as IP colleges will now accept admissions in B.Tech courses through JEE Main score.
  • As the number of colleges will increase, the number of students appearing for JEE Main will also increase.
  • Now, the minimum marks required in JEE Main to get admission to these colleges will be around 135+.

Here is a table of minimum rank required :

College

Rank

USIT

Up to 24k

MSIT

26-55k

MAIT

24-50k

You should wait for the first round of counseling as it will give a clear idea of the minimum rank and the pattern for this year's counseling.

You should study and practice very hard for your JEE Main. Both the competition and cut-off marks will increase and you must score higher rank to easily secure a seat in your preferred branch in any of these colleges.

Can I take admission at LNCT Bhopal via a donation in the main building for a B.Tech?

AG
Abhinav Gupta Posted On : September 24th, 2021
Studied at Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal

LNCT is not that great to take admission through donation. Although the college is a good private college in the state, you can try better options such as LNCTS which is also an LNCT group college with the same faculty and campus placement opportunity.

However, if you are unable to get admission to LNCTS for some reason, you can go to other private engineering colleges in Bhopal. Some private colleges with comparable placements to LNCT are Thakral, Bansal, Sagar, etc.

In the end, all the Pvt colleges in India are more or less the same in terms of academics. Only the number of companies visiting the campus can vary from campus to campus. Thus, if your focus is academics then you must consider preparing for premier institutes like IITs, NITs, etc.

How do I get admission into the B.Tech program at Madras Institute of Technology?

AP
Arjun Pandey Posted On : May 4th, 2021
B.E. from Madras Institute of Technology, graduated in 2019

My senior from school who used to be a student of Madras Institute of Technology told me that he got admission through the Other state Quota. There are other quotas as well. For example:

  • TNEA: Only those students who have completed their 10 (+20) Tamil Nadu can apply through this entry.
  • Other state Quota: Students who have proof of residence of other states and completed their 10 (+2) from some other state can make use of this quota for their admission.
  • NRI & FN quota - For making use of this quota, candidates must have passed their 10 (+2). Passing from an English medium school or having proficiency in English is compulsory for candidates. They should have passed in all subjects and scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together in qualifying examinations.
  • Industrial Quota: Parent(s) and/or guardian(s) should have an industry.

In addition to the above quotas, there are also government quotas, governor quotas, Vice-Chancellor quotas which are probably getting letters of recommendation from the governor, Vice-Chancellor, and other high-ranking officials in the government.

How do I get admission in the B.Tech field at Nirma University?

SK
Saikat Kundu Posted On : July 9th, 2021
B. Tech from Nirma University (2021)

For getting admission in B.Tech at any stream offered by Nirma University, there are three legitimate ways- All Indian quota, NRI or Gulf quota, and the ACPC/ Gujarat state quota.

All India Quota:

  • All-Indian quota admission is entirely based on the JEE Main score of the specific year. This quota has 35% coverage over the total number of seats in the institute.
  • For All Indian Quota, you need to fill an application on the institute’s official website by giving relevant information and uploading the required documents.
  • After the application process is over, Nirma University publishes the list of applied candidates rank-wise. From that list, you can know your dates of counseling, if found eligible.

NRI/ Gulf Quota:

  • Students are allowed admission in these seats based on their 12th board marks. The condition that lies in this is that the fee for the student needs to be funded by an NRI.
  • The NRI quota has 15% coverage in Nirma University. Usually, the fee for students in this quota is higher than that of general admission students.

ACPC/Gujarat Quota:

  • The ACPC/ Gujarat quota seats are allowed only to those who have a valid rank in the GUJCET exam. It comprises a maximum coverage of 50% among the total number of students in the institute.
  • In the Gujarat state quota, the admission process is handled by ACPC. The admission ranking list for students in this category is created by the cumulative results of 12th marks and GUJCET marks.

These are the three processes of admission in Nirma University for B.Tech students, with certain conditions in each.

Should I take admission to NIET for CSE?

PD
Pallavi Dey Posted On : July 13th, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

If you are planning on working towards your GATE preparation, then the college you are from will not matter much.

  • Most students from the IT or computer science engineering background are able to appear for 90% of company placements.
  • But you will have to maintain a percentage above 60 or 70 at least.
  • Next, if you are a student from ECE or EN, most of these are able to appear for 70% of company placements with the same sort of condition as mentioned above.
  • As far as other branches are concerned, they do not have that many placement opportunities.
  • Most UPTU colleges have placements based in core companies and keeping the stakes in mind, not every individual gets to secure this placement.
  • The reason behind this is the fact that core companies generally recruit less people.

My advice to you would be to study hard in your semester. Ensure that you score well in your internals. All this coupled together will ensure that your percentage is raised and maintained which will eventually help you secure a good job in your future.

IET Lucknow is a state government engineering institution in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is a separate college under Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. I have a few friends from the institute and they were able to provide some information regarding the admission process.

  • According to state government regulations, the college takes 20% of total sanctioned candidates on the basis of JEE Main.
  • Candidates for lateral admission must have a minimum of 60% in a 3-4 year diploma from a recognized university sanctioned by the U. P. Board of Education.

Which should I take, admission in IT in IET Lucknow or a CS (FW) in ABES Ghaziabad? Which one is better?

KC
Khushi Chitra Posted On : August 5th, 2021
B.Tech from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur

ABES Ghaziabad is a better choice. It is thriving and is now one of the best colleges in the state. The training and placement cell is quite good, bringing in a large number of companies.

Academics:

Among all Aktu colleges, ABES has the finest academic record. However, they are very strict with students in this regard. The first year's results are crucial for college. As a result, first-year students have limited independence.

Location:

ABES is located on NH-24 in Ghaziabad, in a prime location. As a result, there is stronger connectivity with Delhi. This College has an advantage over other government colleges in Aktu because of its position in the Delhi NCR.

  • Students have a lot of resources at their disposal to help them prepare for employment and interviews.
  • NCR has the best gate and coding coaching and Because of their locations in Delhi-NCR, more corporations visit the campus.

Coding Culture:

College seniors are quite helpful. ABES has a better coding culture than other colleges in the NCR.

Placement:

BTech CSE at ABES is really good, the reason being the placements at this college. No matter how hard they grill you for the first three years, the placements & placement cell of this college is quite good and if you are in CSE/IT, consider yourself placed from the first year only.

You simply need to prepare yourself for a larger package because there are a plethora of companies offering packages ranging from 3 lakhs to 13 lakhs per annum and even more. According to the recent placement highlights the highest CTC offered was 8 LPA. All you need to do is enhance your coding skills.

So, I would suggest going with ABES. The institute has A/C classrooms, a positive campus culture, a premium location, and much more. You will definitely have a great time there.
