It's possible that people are realizing that all the newer AIIMS have different strengths as they're growing rapidly in various fields. For instance, the department at AIIMS Nagpur might be better than the same department at AIIMS Raipur, while another department at Raipur could be ahead of Nagpur's. Also, being close to family or choosing a city that suits one's preferences is becoming a bigger factor, especially with recent incidents like attacks and suicides.

When it comes to cities, Nagpur and Rajkot might offer a better lifestyle, food options, nearby attractions, and connectivity compared to Raipur. Plus, medical career growth isn't solely dependent on where you did your undergrad or postgrad; it's a journey that continues throughout your life.

Can I expect AIIMS Raebareli or Deoghar with a score of 500 in the NEET being in the UR category?

Muskan Shafi Posted On : April 6th, 2024

AIIMS Raebareli and AIIMS Deoghar are two of the recently established AIIMS which are considered to have a slightly lower cutoff than other major AIIMS in India. However, the cutoff for AIIMS Raebareli and Deoghar is still higher than the other government colleges due to their top-notch academics and facilities.

The cutoff for admission to MBBS at AIIMS Raebareli is based on the AIl-India NEET Rank obtained by the candidates. Mentioned below are the cutoff ranks for AIIMS Raebareli and AIIMS Deoghar in 2023:

Category  AIIMS Raebareli Closing Cutoff Rank (2023) AIIMS Deoghar Closing Cutoff Rank (2023)
General  6901 6373
OBC 3354 7123
SC 36026 45486
ST 51580 74873
EWS 4350 5167

The cutoff ranks for the general category for both AIIMS Raebareli and AIIMS Deoghar fell in the bracket of 6300-6900 which is approximately a NEET score in the range of 630 to 640. The cutoff is expected to be even higher with every upcoming year. Thus, it is impossible for a student from the general category to get into either AIIMS Raebareli or AIIMS Deoghar with a NEET score of 500.
