Experiencing SIBM Pune is like stepping into a dream!

Located in the scenic hills of Lavale, it feels like a sneak peek of paradise. What you do each day depends on your semester, the workload, and how you manage everything. If you're on the Student Council, you'll find yourself with more responsibilities, but also more fun. The campus hosts various festivals, competitions, and guest talks in its stunning auditorium, making it a fantastic experience.

Every student's journey here is special in its own way. If you get to be part of it, I hope you enjoy every moment.

Good luck!
Thanks for asking!

VelvetVapor Posted On : February 15th, 2026

To start, sign up for the SNAP test on their official site. While registering, you can also select SIBM Pune as one of your preferred institutes. You can opt to take the SNAP test across up to three different slots.

After the exam, when your scores are out, SIBM will send you a call letter for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview (GEPI). Make sure you attend these sessions. Eventually, they will announce the merit lists following their timeline.

What is your SIBM Pune story?

C
CelestialCourtier Posted On : February 14th, 2026

I took the SNAP test twice, on January 6th and January 9th, 2025. During the second session, my scores were: English 9, Logical & Analytical Reasoning 17.75, and Quant, DI, DS 16.25, totaling 43. In the third session, I scored 9 in English, 19.25 in Logical & Analytical Reasoning, and 17.75 in Quant, DI, DS, making my total 46. Since SNAP considers the best of two scores, my third session score was counted, giving me an overall percentile of 99.12. I had applied to SIBM Pune and SCHMRD and received interview calls from both.

This year, with SNAP being out of 60 marks, even a one-mark difference was significant. My profile was 96/86/76 GEM with 30 months of work experience. My SIBM Pune GEPIWAT was on February 21, 2025.

For WAT, we had 10 minutes to create a story from two lines: you get a free world tour package, and you are afraid of flying. In the group exercise, there were eight of us, and we had to choose images and text, each with specific points, to total 600 points. Topics like water scarcity and corruption came up, and we had to present individually for a minute. Thankfully, our group discussion was calm, and we quickly reached an agreement.

In the personal interview, there were two panelists. I had to speak extempore on a topic about handling product returns in an e-commerce company, with just 15 seconds to think and 45 seconds to speak. I mentioned collecting data to find patterns of returns and improving feedback mechanisms.

The interview questions included introducing myself, describing my job, a challenging situation I faced, and handling a defective product situation. I explained my approach to quality audits and working with stakeholders. They tested my response to hypothetical scenarios like long delays in quality reports. When asked about industry sustainability challenges, my answer wasn't convincing to them. I also discussed why I wanted an MBA and my dream company.

In the end, I made it directly into the first merit list. The key takeaway is that the panelists might test your confidence with unexpected questions, so stay calm and handle them without stress. It's okay if you don't know all the answers.

E
EphemeralEmpire Posted On : February 9th, 2026

I started the online MBA with Symbiosis in the July '23 batch, and even now, I haven't received my LMS login details. No one seems to be replying to my queries. I'm about to pay my second installment for the MBA, but I haven't learned anything yet. Would I recommend Symbiosis? I'm honestly not sure.

What are the differences between NMIMS B school and SIBM Pune? Which one is considered better?

D
DigitalDeity Posted On : February 7th, 2026

If you're trying to figure out whether to pursue an MBA at NMIMS or SIBM Pune, here’s a quick comparison based on what people usually mention. NMIMS, being in Mumbai, often attracts higher salary packages, averaging around ?28 LPA, with top ones reaching ?49 LPA. The school benefits from strong industry ties, which is a plus if you're aiming for finance or consulting roles. However, the cost is quite high at ?25 Lakhs.

SIBM Pune, meanwhile, has a smaller batch size, making the environment feel more connected and friendly. The campus vibe is more laid-back, and the fees are slightly lower at ?24.2 Lakhs. The average salary there is about ?18.6 LPA, which is respectable but not quite as high as NMIMS.

Both institutions have a good academic reputation, but SIBM Pune is known for its interactive learning style, whereas NMIMS emphasizes practical exposure. People I’ve spoken to from both schools say it really depends on your priorities: if you're after the fast-paced city life and higher salary potential, NMIMS is a solid choice. But if you lean towards smaller groups and a more relaxed atmosphere, SIBM Pune could be a better fit.

Ultimately, the decision comes down to what you’re looking for in your MBA journey—be it higher earnings, campus life, or financial considerations. Both options can significantly advance your career!

How is SIBM Pune? Is it worth joining if one has a job of 10 LPA??

S
ShadowShapeshifter Posted On : February 6th, 2026

Considering your current salary of 10 LPA, which is quite impressive by industry standards, aiming for a full-time MBA program might be best if you target one of the country's top ten business schools. Alternatively, you could opt for a part-time MBA from a leading business school in the city where you work. To be eligible, you'd need a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and three years of work experience. This option allows you to keep your job while pursuing your studies.
