What are the ATKT rules of Mumbai University 2021 BA?
The rules for ATKT at Mumbai University are simple and easy to follow.
- If you have more than 2 KT in each semester, then you will not be promoted to the next year. You will have to drop a year from college and appear for the exams again.
- Keep a close eye on the notifications related to the exam and fill the form accordingly.
- If you have 2 or less KT in each semester, then you will be promoted to the next year.
- To appear for 3rd year examination, you must clear either your 1st or 2nd year.
You would not be allowed to continue your term in the third year if you fail in any of the subjects of the first year and second year (cross ATKT).
Which is better for a BA Hons. Economics Hindu College or Hansraj College?
Even though both colleges hold immense prestige and boast of their academic excellence, for many, Hindu College stands ahead of Hansraj College for Economics Honors. Many students consider Hindu College to be in 4th position in terms of Economics studies, after St.Stephens, SRCC, and LSR.

- My sisters’ batchmates (2010 graduates) are currently placed in top Private Equity firms, Top investment banks, and consulting firms of great prestige. Some secured much-revered government positions as IAS and IFS officers.
Though these are not statistical figures for an accurate comparison, the data can still provide important insight and value judgment on Hindu College.
Ultimately, it is a matter of individual preference regarding which college you choose. Both colleges offer students immense opportunities, in fact even similar opportunities, so to say.
Also, some of my friends do mention that the economics faculty at Hansraj might be better than the one at Hindu.
How is DAV College Chandigarh for doing a B.A.?
One of my friends is an alumnus of Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College (DAVC), who studied B.Sc. Here is his experience in brief.
- The teaching approach of the faculty members is impressive.
- The admission in the B.A. program, based on merit and seat availability.
- The infrastructure of the college is also decent.
- As a BA student, you will have the opportunities to prove yourself in academics and co-curricular activities.
- The competitions, parties, etc. will make you more comfortable speaking in public.
- The library is great and so is the overall environment on campus.
- Doing BA from DAV college can be a great option if you are interested in the Civil Service examination.
DAVC is an ordinary college, but it is an excellent institute for pursuing an undergraduate degree.

How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Sociology) in St Xavier's Mumbai?
The curriculum is very well balanced in terms of relevance to current world topics. In the case of sociology I don't think it prepares you for real world jobs as the Sociology curriculum is very theory based and it doesn't teach a lot of real world applications, but it does thoroughly prepare you for further academic pursues such as purse using your masters in a different country. They teach you to write complex thesis and dissertations which are necessary skills to know. The teaching methods could be improved and a lot of teachers could work on the feedback that they received from the Student feedback forms, as several of the teachers are not good at engaging the students during lectures and often make them fall asleep. The frequency and timing of exams is pretty balanced, the difficulty is also just right but the marking system could be a bit more lenient.
How are the placements for Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Ancient Indian Culture) at St Xavier's Mumbai?
we can apply for placements during a third year and students without backlog are eligible to apply for the placements which are available in the college. The companies that visited our college during my third year are Deloitte KP MGJP Morgan EY and other multinational companies, the highest package that was offered to a Student in our college was 36,00,000 per annum and the average package was eight lakh and the percentage of students getting placed in our college is very high due to our excellence and knowledge. My plan after getting this degree to pursue masters in ancient history, and I'm also planning to go abroad to countries like Ireland, UK for my higher studies.
How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Ancient Indian Culture) in St Xavier's Mumbai?
The course curriculum is very wide and vast and in AIC many out stories have been revealed through excavation and many stories has been speculatated the course provides knowledge about the harappan civilisation this was very interesting to me as an adventure enthusiast and thus leading to my degree in AIC . Our course structure provides outdoor classes , field trips and guest lectures every other month . We have 2 internals which is out of 20 marks and the second internals are mostly assignments and projects which are supposed to be done individually or in a group . And we have a semester exam out of 60 and overall we need 40 marks to clear the semester including the internals scored . Semester exams have a one week break before and we also get a 20 days holiday mostly after every semester exam as semester break .
