What is the cutoff of IIM Udaipur for MBA/PGDM? I am a general category candidate from Rajasthan

C
CobaltCoati Posted On : April 16th, 2026

The cutoff for IIM Udaipur's MBA program is typically pretty competitive. For the 2025 batch, I’d say you should aim for a CAT percentile above 95 to have a solid chance. Being from Rajasthan, it might give you a slight advantage since the college looks for diversity too. Just keep in mind, the total fees for the course is around 22 lakhs, so make sure you’re financially prepared!

Which college is better IIM Udaipur or IMT Ghaziabad? I need a basic comparison of facilities and atmosphere of stress etc

R
RamblingRook Posted On : April 16th, 2026

IIM Udaipur and IMT Ghaziabad both have their strengths, but when it comes to placements and internships, IMT Ghaziabad tends to have the edge. The average package at IIM Udaipur is around 19.5 Lakh with a somewhat disappointing internship scenario, while IMT Ghaziabad, known for its strong industry connections, typically offers better internship opportunities and higher placement packages. The campus life at IIM Udaipur is vibrant with numerous clubs and events, which is great for networking, but if you're primarily focused on job prospects and career outcomes, IMT Ghaziabad might be the better choice. I recommend IMT Ghaziabad for those who prioritize robust placement opportunities, while IIM Udaipur is a good fit if you value a lively campus atmosphere and are okay with taking more risks on placements.

Is doing MBA from IIM Udaipur any good

A
AstralArgali Posted On : April 16th, 2026

IIM Udaipur has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. One year in, and it has been a transformational journey. The institute's focus on entrepreneurship, rural and global immersion truly sets it apart. Values and transparency are key components that resonate in all IIMU-related activities.

The student bodies (clubs and committees) provide ample opportunities for every individual to apply knowledge gained in the classroom. The management offers full support in every possible way. With numerous initiatives by clubs/committees and campus businesses always on the horizon, IIMU is definitely the place to be.

The feeling of being part of this legacy is the biggest motivation.

Thank you, IIM Udaipur!!!

Does IIM Udaipur give CPI or aggregate in MBA/PGDM at the end

P
PhantomPeacock Posted On : April 15th, 2026

In our MBA program at IIM Udaipur, we get a CPI score instead of an aggregate at the end. The grading system is designed to reflect our performance over the entire course. I found that the exams are mostly manageable if you stay engaged during lectures. It’s a nice blend of common courses in the first year and electives in the second, allowing us to tailor our learning experience.

What is the fees structure of IIM Udaipur for MBA/PGDM?

D
DancingDrake Posted On : April 13th, 2026

If you're considering IIM Udaipur for your MBA, know that the fees are approximately 22 lakhs for the two-year program. They do have some scholarships available, but mainly for those from reserved categories, so if you’re general, you might be out of luck there. Don't forget to set aside around 1.5 to 2 lakhs for other costs that pop up during your studies, like events and social gatherings. It adds up quickly!

I got selection for MBA/PGDM in IIM Udaipur but the fees is fairly high. I will have to take an education loan for it. Is it worth the entire effort and money?

F
FrostedFrog Posted On : April 13th, 2026

IIMs are categorized into 3 levels - Old, new, and baby. Fees for new IIMs typically range from 18–22L for 2 years. Older IIMs charge around 25L, while baby IIMs are under 18L. These figures are approximate, so check the official websites of the respective IIMs for accurate information.

Regarding loans - IIMs are recognized as premier institutions, and banks often provide loans without requiring security or collateral. Many campuses have bank branches; for instance, there was an SBI branch at one IIM, and students could take loans for half the fee amount.

Now, let's talk ROI - the median package from IIM campus placements usually matches the program fees. So, if you perform well, you can easily pay off your MBA fees within a year. Plus, loan interest can be claimed for tax deductions under the old tax regime.

Hope this helps answer your query!

How many marks should one get to have access to MBA/PGDM in IIM Udaipur

G
GalacticGoral Posted On : April 13th, 2026

I am providing this answer based on the selection criteria for most IIMs for the 2015-2017 batch.

  • 1) If your academics are not strong, that could be a negative factor for you right now.
  • 2) Having 36 months of experience is more than sufficient for selection.

Considering a general category male engineer:

  • IIMA: 99.67%ile
  • IIMB: Selection is very subjective, but weak academics will be a drawback.
  • IIMC: Aim for 99.51%ile (with 81+ in 10th and 12th). Your score should ideally be around 99.8+.
  • IIMK: A 99.5+%ile will likely secure you a call.
  • IIMI: The criteria have changed this year, but a safe bet is to aim for 99.5+%ile.
  • IIM Lucknow, Shillong, and other new IIMs: 99+%ile should suffice.

At this point, ISB is a great option, and the GMAT is generally easier and more predictable than the CAT.

If you belong to OBC or SC/ST categories, aim for around 99+%ile for OBC and 95+%ile for SC/ST.

Which one should I opt for IIM Udaipur MBA or IIM Nagpur MBA

V
VeiledViper Posted On : April 13th, 2026

IIM Udaipur boasts some of the best professors from older IIMs teaching marketing electives as visiting faculty. The Director of IIM Udaipur is very dynamic.

And remember, an IIM is an IIM - you can't substitute the experience at most other institutes, except for other tier 1 schools like XLRI, SP Jain, FMS Delhi (which is not a residential program), NITIE, TAPMI, etc.

DoMS at IIT Madras offers a solid MBA program and may have decent placements as well. The institute has been around for over 50 years, with an alumni network close to 50,000. Some of the marketing faculty there are excellent.

You should definitely check the list of marketing electives offered at both institutes before making your final decision.

Ultimately, it’s your choice whether you want to be part of the IIT alumni network (23 institutes, over 300,000 alumni across diverse fields) or the IIM network (20 institutes, around 70,000 alumni mostly in business roles). Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from MBA/PGDM IIM Udaipur?

W
WhisperingWizard Posted On : April 13th, 2026

I’m in my final year at IIM Udaipur, and I wanted to share my experience regarding salaries post-graduation. Most students land around 19.5 lakh as their in-hand salary, which is pretty decent given the 22 lakh fee structure for the MBA course. The highest package goes up to 36 lakh, so there’s potential if you’re willing to network and showcase your skills. Just keep in mind that internships can be hit or miss, with some offering as low as 10k.

Is it worth doing an MBA/PGDM at IIM Udaipur if my main goal is to land a high-paying job?

P
PhantomPossum Posted On : April 12th, 2026

Honestly, IIM Udaipur has its pros and cons when it comes to landing a high-paying job. The average package is around 19.5 Lakh, which is decent, but considering it's a newer IIM, you might not get the same brand recognition as the older ones. If you perform well and network effectively, you can definitely aim for a good salary. But be prepared for the possibility of internships that pay only 10k to 15k, which can be a bit disappointing. So, if your primary goal is to secure a high-paying job, weigh your options carefully.
