MCC Postpones NEET PG 2025 Round-1 Counselling; Revised Schedule to Be Notified Soon

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has delayed the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 choice filling and locking process because the seat matrix has been updated. Since the choice filling is postponed, the Round 1 seat allotment result has also been put on hold, and no new dates have been announced yet.

This delay has affected thousands of medical students who are waiting for admission to MD and MS courses under the 50% All India Quota and 50% state quota. Candidates now have to wait until MCC releases the revised schedule for the counselling process.

The MCC explained that the National Medical Commission (NMC) is updating the seat matrix for many colleges. Because of this change, the Round 1 choice filling and locking process has been put on hold.

The official notice issued states: “Choice filling for Round-1 PG Counselling 2025 has been kept in abeyance till the final revised seat matrix is uploaded on the MCC website. The process has been extended until further notice.”
