DPU PhD Registration 2025-26 Deadline Extended till January 15; Check Details Here

Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pimpri, Pune, has extended the PhD registration deadline for the 2025–26 academic session. The university has invited online applications for admission to PhD programmes across multiple faculties.

As per the latest notification, eligible candidates can now submit the application form till January 15, 2026, instead of the earlier deadline. Admission will be done through the All India Proctor-Based Online Entrance Test (AIET), which is scheduled to be conducted later this month.

DPU has officially confirmed that the last date to apply for the PhD Entrance Test 2025-26 has been extended to January 15, 2026. The AIET exam will be held on January 25, 2026 (Sunday) in online proctored mode. Candidates must complete both the application form and fee payment online within the revised timeline.

The PhD programme is available in a wide range of disciplines, including Medicine (with Genetics), Dentistry, Science & Technology, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Ayurved, Commerce & Management, and Homoeopathy.

Specialisations such as Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Nanotechnology, Computer Science & Engineering, Physiotherapy, Optometry, and Interdisciplinary Studies are also offered for eligible applicants.

Candidates applying for the DPU PhD programme must pay an entrance test fee of ₹5,000 through online mode only. Applicants who have qualified UGC-NET, SET, CSIR-NET, ICMR, DBT, DST, or GATE are exempted from appearing in the entrance test, but they are still required to submit the PhD application form within the deadline.

After the AIET results are announced, shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stages of the admission process, which may include interviews and document verification as per university norms.
