MNIT Jaipur PG Registration 2026 Begins

Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur has opened online registration for postgraduate and doctoral programmes for the odd semester 2026-27 academic session. The application deadline is May 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates can apply online through the official portal mnit.ac.in. The written test for shortlisted candidates is scheduled for May 25-26, 2026. The institute offers M.Tech, M.Plan, M.Sc, and PhD programmes across multiple departments and specializations.

PhD Admission Categories & Selection Process

PhD candidates with valid GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET scores are exempted from written tests but must appear for interview if shortlisted. Candidates without national-level exam scores must qualify institute-level written examination before interview eligibility. The written test comprises two sections: Section A tests research aptitude (30% weightage) and Section B tests subject knowledge (70% weightage). Minimum 35% required separately in both sections; overall 50% needed to qualify for the interview round.

Eligibility & Selection Process

Candidates must have bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD). For PhD, a master's degree is required. M.Tech/M.Plan selection based on written test (100% weightage). PhD selection comprises a written test followed by an interview. Sponsored candidates require employer NOC and minimum two years service. Self-financed candidates must secure a minimum 35% in written tests.
