India TOEFL Scholarship for UK Universities

The Educational Testing Service has recently accepted the UK India scholarship for students who achieve a certain TOEFL score, required to meet the scholarship eligibility criteria. The candidates will be shortlisted by a selection of panels comprising NISAU and UK university representatives. Meeting the eligibility criteria for the scholarship does not guarantee you to be the recipient of the UK India scholarship. The scholarship aims to help students who are willing to pursue full-time undergraduate or post-graduate studies in the UK for Fall Intake 2024 & Spring Intake 2025, and it will be a one-time scholarship.

National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) and the ETS have collaborated to launch the second edition of the UK India scholarship, which will be given to 10 shortlisted candidates. Each selected candidate will receive an amount of INR 2.5 lacs that will cover the college expenses, housing, and tuition fees. The candidates who will be selected as the recipient of the UK India TOEFL scholarship will need to act as a TOEFL Student Ambassador for the course of their respective degrees. 

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

All the applicants who wish to apply for the said scholarship must meet the following requirements - 

• You must have a TOEFL score of 75 out of 120
• An offer letter from a university in the UK
• You need to write an essay on the topic “Creating a Social Impact with a UK-Based Education” within 500 words. 
• The submission of the essay will be assessed along with other personal and academic credentials according to your eligibility and the validity of the supporting documents. 
• After a successful review of the submissions, a maximum of 10 applicants will be selected by the NISAU and representatives of the UK universities.

• Scholarship announcement - Aug 15, 2024

Benefits of the Scholarship

• College expenses (but not limited to tuition, books, housing, deposits, transportation)
• You will act as a TOEFL student ambassador at conferences and events.

• Participating in international student events.
• Engaging with the TOEFL program as a valued member of the global alumni community. 

Documents Required for the Scholarship

You need some of the following documents to be eligible to apply for the UK India TOEFL scholarship - 

• A TOEFL score report
• An Indian Passport
• An essay on ‘creating a social impact with a UK-based education’ in 500 words
• Mark sheets from class 10 to 12

All the documents must be submitted as per the mentioned prescribed format (JPG, PDF, PNG - 5MB maximum without any spaces or accents in the file name)

How to Apply for the Scholarship 

To apply for the scholarship, you need to follow the following steps - 

• You must submit your ETS ID to begin the process. 
• Click the ‘Apply Now’ button below.
• Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register'. If you are already registered, log in using the registered email ID. 
• Navigate to the ‘Application Process’ section, fill in all the required details, and upload the necessary documents.
• Once done, click on the ‘Submit your Scholarship Application’ button to complete the application.
• Provide a highlight of your academic and personal achievements if you have scored 75 or above on the TOEFL test. 
• Fill in the details of your class 12 and graduation scores.
