Which key factors keep you connected with the education sector?

I was always passionate about educating the young generation of our society and it gives me tremendous joy and satisfaction when I get to interact with the students and innovative minds and see them transforming their dreams into reality. And it’s a universal truth that a well-educated society is a very crucial factor for the development of a nation. Because if people are literate, then they will make good and informed decisions and will contribute to the growth of a country in the best way possible.

Along with this, I get limitless opportunities to upgrade my skills and enhance my knowledge of various subjects, which ultimately reflects the way I spread information among students. Si, I would say my commitment to teach students followed by opportunities and satisfaction I receive here are the main aspects of my so long association with the challenging yet dynamic educational world.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of industry?

We impart education to our students in a very systematic way and during the start of an academic session, we thoroughly prepare the full-year plan and individual lectures, so that time of both students as well as teachers is invested in productive work and not wasted unnecessarily. Apart from this, we have made the classroom environment truly collaborative, so that students can focus on what is being taught to them and as and when needed we make changes in our teaching methodologies to cater to academic needs of every student.

And to keep our curriculum industry oriented, we thoroughly analyze the latest developments and trends of the industrial world and then consult with corporate experts to make necessary changes in it so that old subjects and programs could be discarded on time and new emerging technologies can be integrated to make B.Ed courses worth pursuing for ambitious youths.

What career options would be available to students after pursuing a B.Ed course from your college?

A plethora of work opportunities will be available to students post successfully pursuing a 1-year B.Ed program from the Vignan College of Education. And if we talk about the scope in the government sector, individuals with required skills and knowledge can work as Primary School Teacher, School Assistant, Central Government Teacher or a full-time Counselor. Apart from this, they can join private entities and work as an Online Tutor, Content Writer or Researcher. Last but not the least, they can pursue higher education courses like M.Ed or PhD.

What kinds of teaching methodologies your institute has adopted to train students as per industry standards?

We have adopted an amalgamation of different teaching techniques. And we take the analogy of a Farmer into consideration, then before going to fields for the plantation or harvesting a crop, they verify if the soil is ready or not and if not how can its quality be improved. Similarly, for teachers it’s very important that students take interest in their teaching techniques and full interest in every lecture that is being delivered to them. In other terms, we keep modifying the different teaching methodologies as per students' needs and industry standards and primarily use real-life case studies to teach them. Lastly, assignments and mini-major projects are assigned to them from time to time.

What challenges do you usually face being the Vice-Principal of a B.Ed College?

Nowadays students are more interested in earning money and post completing the B.Ed Course, they expect highly-paid job profiles, so changing their mindset of running behind money only is the biggest challenge I usually face being the Vice-Principal of my college. And many students are even more inclined towards Software Job instead of joining the education sector and working as a Teacher. Because if we clearly observe the earnings of private teachers, they get a maximum pay of INR 20,000 - 30,000, whereas individuals having in-depth knowledge of software development earn a whopping annual salary package of INR 6 Lakhs.

So inculcating an interest and passion in students so that they can join the teaching domain happily and educate our young generation is the second biggest roadblock in front of us. But yes, to tackle these challenges we are putting our 100% efforts to prepare a well-educated workforce for the dynamic educational world and experience the satisfactory feeling of improving the other’s life.

What kinds of placement assistance and career counseling your college provides to students?

For the purpose of preparing our students for the cut-throat competitive world, clarifying their academic and non-academic doubts and enhancing their skills, our college regularly organizes a broad range of activities and events including guest lectures, workshops, seminars, placement-specific and skills enhancement training programs along with career counseling sessions in collaboration with our recruiters.

And due to our reputation, the kind of finest education we impart to students and state-of-the-art infrastructure we do have on campus drive reputed companies to our campus from time to time to hire students for diverse job profiles. Apart from this, we also guide them for entrance exams like NET and TET and testimonial certificates are also provided.

How is your Institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

We truly cherish the vibrant and diverse community of students that we have in our college and any kind of inequality or discrimination is strictly prohibited in our campus. In addition to this, the fee structure of our B.Ed course is very reasonable as students have to only pay a total amount of INR 62,000.

And considering the economic backgrounds of our students, we have provided them the flexibility to pay the total course fee in multiple installments.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

It’s a general truth that when we as an individual choose any profession, be it technical or non-technical, sincere commitment and hard work is needed, but today’s youths are misusing the resources they have got access of very easily, like internet and mobile phones and intentionally or unintentionally they are waiting their precious time.

So my only suggestion to all the ambitious students out there is that they should use the facilities in a proper way and should not get addicted to social media sites, phones or any such thing which waste their time. Apart from this, stay dedicated and focused towards your life goals and live a wholesome life leaving all your worries behind.
