When to start solving the JEE Main sample paper 2026?

Candidates can start solving the JEE Main sample papers once they have completed around 70-80 percent of their syllabus, ideally by the end of class 12th.

If you are a candidate who has taken a drop year, then you can start early to take advantage of more time.

• You can start with topic-wise or sectional tests simultaneously with your syllabus to boost your confidence.
• You can then move to full-length tests around 2-3 months before the exam so that there are no topics left for you to skip in the test, as your syllabus should ideally be covered by now.
• In the last 1-2 months, you should solve at least 2-3 papers under exam-like conditions within the stipulated time.
