Ques. Can one pursue BDS without taking the NEET exam?

Ans. Admission to BDS courses in India is exclusively facilitated through the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET). Ques. Is BPharm or BDS a better choice?

Ans. In the current context, BPharm is often considered a more versatile option compared to BDS. While completing a BDS course does lead to becoming a dentist, it's important to note that BDS alone may not be sufficient to excel in dentistry. Many dentists pursue further education, such as an MDS (Master of Dental Surgery), along with gaining practical experience to excel in the field. On the other hand, with a BPharm degree, individuals can explore a wide range of career opportunities, including working in the pharmacy industry, hospitals, as drug inspectors, pharmacists, and even as medical representatives. The field of pharmacy offers diverse career paths beyond graduation.

Ques. Do BDS students hold the title of doctor?

Ans. Yes, upon successfully completing the course, BDS graduates are granted the title "Doctor" as a prefix to their name, denoted as "Dr." This designation recognizes their professional qualification in dentistry. After attaining a BDS degree, individuals have access to numerous career opportunities and can pursue higher studies in the field. Dentistry is a profession that typically offers excellent job placement prospects, with many opportunities available for those with a dental degree.

Ques. What NEET marks are needed for BDS admission in Telangana?

Ans. Based on the trends observed in the previous year, candidates aiming for a government dental college in Telangana typically require a minimum of 450 marks in NEET 2024 to secure admission to a BDS course. For those aspiring to gain admission to private dental colleges, a minimum percentile of 50 under the unreserved category is generally the benchmark. Please note that these requirements may vary from year to year, so it's essential to stay updated with the latest admission criteria and cutoff scores.

Ques. What are the fees for B-Category BDS seats in Telangana?

Ans. In Telangana, the fees for BDS courses can vary based on the category of seats. For B-Category BDS seats, the fee structure typically amounts to INR 4.2 lakhs. It's important to note that fees for A-Category and C-Category seats may differ, with C-Category fees being double that of B-Category seats.

● Top Answer By Tanuj Chandra on 24 Jan 23

Ans. If you have been studying for your college internals all year, you can pass the first-year BDS exam under RGUHS in just 20 days. If not, studying the past 10 years' worth of RGUHS Question papers from a Question bank will be helpful for you right now. Divide your topics in all first-year subjects into the following categories before moving forward: Easy Topics Moderate Topics Problematic Topics Never-read Topics Once you have completed this table, you will be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. Now, look at the exam questions from the previous ten years to gauge your topical preparedness.  To increase your chances of success, create a timetable based on your strengths and weaknesses and try to adhere to 70% of it. Allocate time each day to studying anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, the three medical subjects. Reserve Sundays for DA and DH only. Maintain a variety of study spots to provide your brain with spatial cues that will help you remember answers to questions during exams.Read more

Ques. How do I get into Sharda University for a BDS? What is the detailed fee structure?

● Top Answer By Gourav Saha on 22 May 21

Ans. Getting into Sharda University is not that difficult. An acquaintance of mine had to go through only an interview a few years back when he applied. Now, one has to appear for NEET. On the basis of that result, you go through the counseling process, and then your admission is finalized. The fee structure is approximately 4.5 lacs per annum and it’s a 4-year course. Studying for NEET requires an extreme amount of effort. Trying for a better college than this would be good for you. A good government institution would help in saving you that money as Sharda University is on the expensive side.Read more

● Top Answer By Nisha Prasad on 17 Jan 22

Ans. As per the Dental Council of India (DCI), this year (2022) the session will start from January to September. The session will be short (9 months), so according to that your exam should be in the month of February or March.  Furthermore if they delay your session it will keep on getting shorter. The second is quite hectic when it comes to preclinical work. So it is suggested that you write a letter or email your university requesting them to start your exam to prevent further delay in your next session.Read more
