Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College (CTTEC) for Women, Chennai was established in 1985 under the T. Thomas Educational Trust. It is affiliated to University of Madras and accredited by NAAC. An exclusive college for women in Perambur, it believes in empowering women through its holistic education. It is located in the industrial hub of Perambur, it is about two kilometers from Perambur railway station and Perambur bus stand and is easily accessible both by train and bus.

- NSS - The NSS volunteers conduct regular rallies in the neighbourhood on road safety, AIDS awareness, cancer awareness etc
- YCR - To inculcate the principles of voluntary service, health and hygiene, several awareness programmes are conducted for students by the Youth Red Cross unit of the college.
- RRC - The Red Ribbon Club of our College has been formed with the intention to create awareness about AIDS. The club organizes various activities including rallies and competitions to create AIDS awareness.
