National Centre for Integrated Pest Management, New Delhi, has been incepted to provide with protection of plants of different areas and regions. It aims at finding solutions to pest problems spread around the country. It involves work related with minimizing the losses due to the pest attacks on the crops. Emphasis is laid on encouraging research in the same area. The institute has excellent infrastructure pertaining to the research and teaching needs of the institute.

- Facilities- The institute has ARIS cell which is equipped with latest software and hardware to cater to the need of the scientific work. There is also the Geographic Information System lab which provides with pest distributions maps and forecasting of pests. The Diagnostic lab is involved in the production of biological agents. The library of the institute is well stocked as well.
- Research- The institute also encourages research and research papers have been published in national and international journals.
- Awards and Accolades- These include the ICAR Outstanding Team Award for Biennium 2001- 2002 and 2005-2006. The institute has also received award for Best Institution 2011 by the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, MOA, GOI. National e- Governance Award 2012 has also been received by the institute.
