AI-Generated Summary based on 12 Reviews

The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Food Science and Technology at College of Agriculture under the University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore is a preferred choice due to its experienced faculty and promising placement opportunities. The program has a competitive admission process primarily through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for government seats. Cutoff ranks generally range from 22,000 to 30,000, providing a reasonable threshold for applicants. Some students interested in related fields like veterinary science or other technical disciplines have transitioned to this course due to its substantial job prospects.

While students may opt for other colleges like MS Ramaiah or PES College of Engineering for diverse courses, securing a seat here is contingent on rank attained in KCET. Other entrance exams like CFTRI, GATE, and CAT are occasionally mentioned but largely CET is emphasized. This program effectively appeals to those with a keen interest in the food industry and offers a practical pathway into this sector. Management and direct quota admissions are not discussed, indicating a focus on merit and government seat allocations only.
