Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students will be eligible for campus placement in final year. 70-80% students get scholarship while other pursue higher studies or prepare for competitive or any other entrance exam. My plan is to pursue MA in philosophy but one can choose this subject as his / her optional subject in UPSC CSE and can pursue law or could become a lecturer.

I chose the course because it was of my interest. There is good faculty and many activities and seminars are conducted along with the regular classes. Teachers are very helpful. The teaching method however was mostly lecture cum discussion-based, There is one internal and one external examination in one semester along with one assignment submission.

Psychology has always been my passion and applied Psychology gives wings to that. You get to learn a lot. As for the faculty-student ratio, it's pretty good as compared to other colleges. We have 55 students in the class and other colleges have 75 to 150 students. So it's satisfactory. The faculty is amazing and teaches with passion. They're pretty chill about submissions but also very vigilant. They know what the students are upto. The exams are fine. Every subject has its own technicalities,, so one has to look for oneself. Just to point out that Applied Psychology is about researching so a different subject of research is introduced.

The college has around 60-70 % placement cell in which students are placed from my college. The different companies that visited my college are Amazon, Myntra zone media, etc. The average package offered by my college is 2-3 lakhs. The student gets opportunities to work from home as well as from locations like Noida.

The college placement cell is quite active. Students become eligible for placements in the final year. Before COVID 19 placement fair was organized and after pandemic the cell provides information about online internship and placement opportunities through social media platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp groups. Companies like Zone Media, Wipro, Amazon, Asahi Glass Ltd, Tata Power DDL, etc. hire for the post of influencer marketing executive, sales associate, digital workspace service desk, customer service associate, assistant officer trainee, etc. The average package ranges from 3-4 lacs/ annum. Students get the opportunity to work from home (WFH) as well as in locations like Gurugram and Noida. The selection procedure is usually an aptitude test and interview.

From 1st semester only students are eligible for campus placements. Intrashal, girls up and many more companies are there and there are many offers offered by the companies. The highest package is based on the student work as they are like internship 2k to 5k per week After getting my degree I will be giving SSC cgl and sab exams ie govt. jobs

In our college, there are lots of placement cells. The placements are good as almost 90% of students get placements as I know the highest offered would be 7-8 lacks. So I can't give any negative point and also positive points too.

The placement cell is really great they provide the best placements and internships to the students. From various company and digital platform, they reach the students. The internships are really good which are best for the students as you know corona period is going on still work from home internships are provided to the students to busy their ideal time and involve them in internship and improve their CV. Around 50-60% of students get the placement. I wish to go into Civil services after my graduation gets complete from my 12th standard only I wish to be a civil servant. So I will go into civil services after my college.

For final year students, they become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Justdial, locohelp, e-class education system Pvt ltd. , Falcon business solutions Pvt ltd., Godrej properties, ultra fire tech solutions Pvt ltd etc. On a scale of 1-10, 6-7 students get placements. My plans after getting the degree are to go for masters and in the research sector so that more people know about Sanskrit.

Sports quota
