I had applied through the online portal I had got good grades and my selection was done directly. History has always been my favorite subject and interests me so I choose to go for this course. I always wanted to do this course and was very interested in it. The admission was purely done on merit basis, I had worked hard in my 10+2 to get into this college. In the beginning, the college was affiliated to the Calcutta University, but in 1948, when Gauhati University was established, it came under the academic jurisdiction of the latter. I got direct admission into the college. There is no entrance exam or anything sort of. I just applied for the college and then got an admission offer letter and went ahead to fulfill the admission process and seeked admission in the college.
