UPES, School of Design Studies Dehradun: Fees, Admission 2026, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

I applied in nid only if i had qualified the 2nd round i would have gone for it but my second option was upes because there are not many design colleges and upes has a good design reputation in market but not more than nid so it was my second option. I had many colleges invitation like d y patil or lpu or pearl but not very good reputation so i rejected them. I gaved the exam of upes there were 2 rounds first online written exam second interview round i qualified both for addmission i gaved 1 lakh rupees which was from fees only then submitted the semester 1 installment

I applied for Chandigarh University and Uttaranchal University, but chose UPES because of its ranking and its crowd. The selection process was also easy at UPES, nothing difficult as such. Plus UPES is a well known university in India.

I applied for many private colleges and one government college which was NID (National Institute of Design) which is one of the top colleges for design but unfortunately i wasnt able to clear the exam so i went for UPES dehradun mainly because of the mountains and aesthetics and the weather because rest of the private colleges didn't have anything special and that would've been boring so yeah.

I applied to IIAD,UPES,ISDI. I choose this college because first of all I liked the curriculum and faculty over here. Also I want to explore more cities in my life which includes dehradun. I was selected in the above mentioned uni. The admission process is simple. First you need to give test and then interview round in which you have show your portfolio

I have try in different colleges like UID , Laxmi bai ,UPES university and JECRC university. I have choose this college among others because of its high quality education. And I have been selected in all the colleges which I have applied

My admission process was pretty smooth. I was admitted based on my mid results and a small interview which felt like a nice discussion with the interviewer where I got to show my work, interest areas, aspirations, etc. You will be provided with an application form from the website or you can visit the campus where you will also get a tour of the campus. Currently, as of now, we have a pretty good admission process so I dont have any suggestions for now.

The entrance exam & cutoff was quite cool. It was not much of a hustle. As I stated earlier the management system is quite poor hence the admission process was not that smooth. The mails received didn't clearly mention the process after getting the offer letter.

The good aspects are that everything is just perfect on our campus the classes, the faculty, etc. The faculty is extremely interactive and understanding. The bad aspects are just that they give us a lot of assignments to do but afterall all colleges have that and plus it is good for our own good. The admission was done in august and the classes were started in October. One thing that I liked about upes is that there was a pre-semester session as an ice breaker for all freshers. During this time also the faculty tried every single thing to make and feel us like a family, This college is considered as one of the best colleges and also that in the design there is a lot of technical points which are helpful for us it is not strictly diverted to design but all fields that are important. I won't say the for 20 lakhs its value for money but in 10 lakh it is!
