Course Curriculum Overview:
NMC decides the curriculum for MBBS. It is standard and necessary to become a doctor. The papers are set by the university. It is a professional course.
Early clinical exposure has been started from first year itself. So over the course of the degree, and throughout internship, you end up learning all the basic and necessary things in every department. The curriculum really prepares you for real world application and for further academic pursuits.
Teaching methods for theory lectures could really use an improvement as maximum lecturers come and read from a PPT presentation and leave. Its impossible to grasp that much knowledge in under an hour. It would be better if topics were broken down and taught in a more interactive manner. I understand this can be tough as the syllabus is vast and extensive.
We have 2 internal exams every year for eacg subject. And Final exams at the end of each year. The papers are set by the university and are of medium difficulty level.
