Gobi Arts and Science College was established in the year 1968 is located in Karattadipalayam, Gobichettipalayam. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
The College offers Aided and Unaided UG and PG programs and full-time and part-time Ph.D. and M.Phil. Program. The UG program includes B.Sc. / BA/ B.Com/ BBA/ BCA and PG programs includes M.Sc. / MA/ M.Com/ MCA program.

- While for M.Com, minimum eligibility criteria is to have B.Com Degree
- For MCA, candidate who have Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ CS or BCA and have studied Mathematics in 10+2/ Graduation are considered eligible.
- For Ph.D. and M.Phil. Courses those who have Master’s Degree in relevant discipline are eligible to get admission.
- For MCA course, it is mandatory for the applicants to qualify TANCET conducted by the Anna University.
- Selection of the candidates in any UG/ PG course is done on the basis of candidate’s merit in the qualifying examination.
- For Ph.D. and M.Phil. Courses, the affiliating Bharathiar University conducts written test and interview and the qualified candidates are given admission as per their merit.

Gobi Arts and Science College offers Aided and Unaided UG programs in its curriculum which is B.Sc. (Aided) of three-year duration with five specializations, B.Sc. (Unaided) with four specializations, BA (Aided) in Economics of three-year duration and BA (Unaided) in English Literature & Language, B.Com (Aided) and (Unaided) with two specializations, BBA (Aided) & BCA (Unaided) programs of three-year duration each.
Applicants who have passed 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized State/ Central Board are considered eligible to apply for admission to any of these UG courses, B.Sc. / BA/ BBA.
For B.Com minimum eligibility requirement is passed 10+2 in Commerce/ Mathematics from a recognized Board.
Admission to each course is given based on their merit in the qualifying examination. The Institute releases the merit list of the shortlisted candidates and the selected students are called to complete the admission procedure.

Gobi Arts and Science College runs M.Sc. (Aided) in Mathematics, M.Sc. (Unaided) in 4 specializations, MA (Aided) in Economics, MA (Unaided) in English, M.Com (Aided), M.Com (Unaided) in Computer Application, MCA (Aided) and PGDCA (Unaided) courses. M.Sc., MA, M.Com programs are of two-year duration, MCA is of three-year duration and PGDCA is of one-year duration.

Gobi Arts and Science College Application Process 2024
For UG & PG Courses:
- Candidates shall apply separately for aided and unaided UG/ PG and Research courses.
- Application form is available in the college on purchase of Prospectus with application form.
- All the instructions are given in the prospectus issued by the institute.
- Each Application form is assigned a serial number and is registered in the computer along with an OMR sheet.
- For MCA, candidates need to apply for TANCET to appear in the entrance examination.
- Applicants applying for the Ph.D. and M.Phil. Program shall download the form from the University’s website.

- Download the application form for Ph.D. / M.Phil.
- Read the instructions carefully.
- Fill up the form with correct details.
- Pay the application fee through DD.
- Submit the application form in person or through the post.
- Pay the application through Demand Draft favoring “The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore” payable at Bharathiar University.
- Mention the name of the applicant at the back of DD.
- Application Fees: INR 500 (for M.Phil.) and INR 600 (for Ph.D.)
