Likes

Each year, we all dance together during a festival called blitz, which is pretty enjoyable.
The college has many scholarships for bright students like the apj abdul kalam scholarship for pol science students.
Good teaching faculty that helps us to engage in college activities

Dislikes

It happens sometimes that classes are cancelled and teacher does not give prior information about the cancellation of the classes that waste the time of the students that can be used for studies
No real time projects in the course- there was very less learning as they had the fixed curriculum which needs to be followed and no real time or interesting projects related to the course
The faculty member is good but not better than my expected level

Satyawati College - The Offcampus

Likes

Ground as it includes cticket pitch,gym,kho kho area, volleyball and many other sports.
All the sports equipments are available in the college and can be used by submitting the ID card.
The crowd is also nice as students from different states are there

Dislikes

The hygiene is not good as its a givt college so.
No water is aviable in the washrooms and they are not clean.
Professors sometimes cancels the class and message about the same when we reach the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BCOM HONS is most desirable cousre in Delhi university and it is rated as best course in the university. The faculty of Commerce in satyawati college is nice and working. It is nest faculty in the entire college.

Satyawati college is a good one , but i am confused about the campus as it fall under north or south , library, and auditorium is good enough, but sports complex as well as sports facilities are not good

My course curriculum is Good and also my faculty members are good but sometimes i feel very disappointed because some of our faculty members don't take class and inform as lately about that . As i come to the class and sit in my beach after that the teacher text in group that she is on leave today that is a very disappointing message for a student

Likes

the canteen food is good and affordable.
the library is good and has many books and had AC.
the teachers are well read and qualified.

Dislikes

there is no air conditioner in any of the classes
our campus is pretty small compared to other colleges.
some of if the classrooms are small and congested while there are many students in the class.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements. 75% of students get placements. companies like byju's, decathlon and urban company and many others have made offers in our college to students.

I liked the collge administrative structure.
The faculties of the college is very helpful.
The events are organised every month and it was quite enjoyable.

Dislikes

The political issue between the students.
Sometimes notice of particular things are not informed earlier mostly about classes.
Sometimes teaching staff are not provided for particular subject earlier.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After every four months Semester exam. If we study it's the paper is much easier without studying also somehow we can pass if we score good in internal. Teacher and students are helpful in providing study materials.

Proximity to north campus gives us the proper DU vibes.
Satyawati has the strongest northeast society across DU.
Satyawati has a really excellent History Department.

Dislikes

The college location is horrible. It is far from the metro, and going to and fro often includes traveling through traffic.
The college has a horrible canteen. Students often go across the road to eat at a popular point named "Panditji Paranthewale".
The college has a horrible administration, as it is one of the few who take physical forms instead of Google forms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I'm interested in History. Faculty student ratio is really good, and I can confidently say that this college has a good History faculty and department. Their teaching methods include giving out notes and important questions. Term exams were alright, but some teachers do dish out marks with difficulty.

Overall the department of Commerce have been very nice of this college compared to other departments even the fresher that happened, the commerce dptments fresher was the best among the all. The teachers of commerce department are also very supportiv
As said before the Auditorium of this college is one of the biggest in DU. So that’s a plus point too.

Dislikes

The crowd of this college has not been very nice.

Placement Experience:

I dont have very much info about the placements of this college as i am a fresher but there are students who gets placed through the placement society of this college. The highest placement of last year was around 7.5 LPA. Avg was around 4 LPA

I am currently pursuing bcom hons from satyawati college, university of Delhi and I am in my first year. We have 80 students in our class and girls is to boys ratio is 60:20. Faculty is highly qualified and cooperative. Teachers are extremely kind and helpful.

Satyawati - the underrated college of DU

Likes

I liked the library as all the books are available.
Faculty is also very good and knowledgeable.
Auditorium - as it is the biggest auditorium of delhi university.

Dislikes

I didnt like the canteen.. hygiene is not proper and dismanagement too.
The ground is small and also other activities ground or space is also missing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am pursuing CA along with college so I opted for bcom hons as this course is related to CA so it provides me with some ease. Student ratio is somewhat 60:40 of boys and Girls respectively. Factulty of my department is wonderful and i don't know much about other departments but to my knowledge faculty of all the departments are just very good. Almost all the teachers are phd holders and some of them also have completed professional courses such as Charted accountants. Teaching method is the typical old style only- blackboard and chalk. Practical exams are till now are of moderate level not much difficult to clear.

My college life in a nutshell.

Likes

The infrastructure, of course. It’s the gem of the college.
The teachers! The staff is very helpful & polite.
The crowd and the area of satywati is posh.

Dislikes

The faculty members & teachers are all fine but the guards of the college are little rude.
All the fest’s get postponed or cancelled somehow.

Placement Experience:

It totally depends on the student and his/her calibre. If one has good communication skills. No one can stop him/her from cracking any interview for the placements. The rate of placements in Satyawati is not up to the mark but still better than many other colleges.

Satyawati was a part of the Delhi University campus before it was relocated to Ashok Vihar.

When you are admitted to one of the DU colleges, you place a high value on education. There are many amenities in college that other colleges do not have, one of which is the Largest Auditorium at DU.

It's a good college with friendly students. The seniors are helpful. There are numerous co-curricular societies to which one can belong. Ragging is prohibited at the college because of the anti-ragging policy. Except for a few, the teachers have extensive experience and training. The building's infrastructure is adequate, and the classrooms are also spacious. There is a fantastic library as well. The canteen is excellent. The ground is in good condition and is well-maintained.
