Students can get benefits of svmcm, nsp, inspire, and sitaram jindal scholarships.
I like faculty because the teachers are very good and very helpful.
Campus life is just great there is a very much unity amount all the people and the colleges actually great and its very much united it's very strongly united which is the best thing ever.

Dislikes

There was not any dislike thing , but one thing i am not satisfied is about the canteen , the canteen food was not quite good
This college is in road side, so vechicles violence is there
The toilets are very dirty and lack of sanitary is observed

My College experience

Likes

Teachers and their teaching skills and their kind hearted behaviour.
Departmental library, Campus, Canteen and loving experience

Dislikes

College fees amount is too greater than other colleges
The college is politically influenced.I think it is not correct.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Statistics is my passion and my college provides me so many facilities what I need.The teacher are really kind and friendly.Statistics department consists of a lab room a computer lab room , departmental class rooms etc.This course may give you a bright future if study in right way.You have to attempt ISI M.Stat and JAM exam after B.Sc.

The course is really good and the staffs are also really nice. They are very very helpful. Teaching community is also really good. Our curriculums prepare us so that we can one day go out in the real world and dominate in respective fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Statistics is one of the best fields to pursue nowadays as it has more flexible career options. The curriculum prepares you very well for fields like data analytics, data science etc. This course might be a little difficult but if you work hard you'll succeed.

I like the canteen I can do There are lots of fun
Our Professors are so good. They are very helpful.
My friends are cool and helpful as well.

The politics in the college I don’t like that
The Priority of the Union Student is more than a teacher
Student Are pulling to the lobby union without their consent

Course Curriculum Overview:

Lots of seminars. Lots of sports like cricket, football chair, E sports and so many things we are getting in those few days of our semester one. I am thankful for this I love to make (Movies). There is opportunity to make short film in the social event of our college. That is a mini huge chance for me.

Likes

The fees structure. Its very affordable.
Facilities provided considering the fees structure.
Faculty members are mostly PHd holders which make them most suitable for teaching and guiding the students.

Dislikes

The campus maintainance could have been better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Statistics in Asutosh College is one of the oldest in calcutta and also this college is very well known for the well versed curriculum of Statistics and its faculty members. 5-6 colleges in Calcutta provide Statistics as a subject and this college is one of them. They conduct seminars on different topics for our exposure and also provide us real world aspects of studying statistics.

Firstly I like our teachers because they are very helpful
The environment of our college.it was beside the metro station.

Dislikes

The campus was small & some times due to exam they can't take class
Sometimes the duration of semester was too long some time too short

This course was very good & it will be more good in future. now the nep system brings some extra features like aiml , c++, python. The Calcutta University take exam after 6 months.it has total 8 semester

My goal is to do Msc in data science, because of the market boom. After doing Bsc Stat. from Asutosh College, it will really help me to accomplish my goals. The theory written and expecially oractical exams,freqauntly organizing seminars are really helping us to prepare ourselves for real world

Honest Review of Asutosh College after 8months

Likes

The statistics department is very good and reputed among the colleges of CU.
The professors are very helpful and specially HOD is very polite person.
Less course fees and much worth it to me.

Dislikes

The politics culture among some students but the student union is helpful.
The exam of Calcutta University, there is no proper schedule of examinations.
The office should be made more accessible to students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Now-a-days, the jobs prospect and research score of statistics is much higher. By considering those factors, I opted for the course. CU should include more practical topics in the course which would benefit the students.

Great insights view of my college

Likes

The teachers are highly qualified and experienced and also humble and they really help us
The IT cell is very helpful the office members are very helpful
They focus on extracurricular activities like sports,freshersetc.

Dislikes

As a govt college they lack cleanliness and luxury facilities
They really focus on academic Knowledge but lack real life knowledge
The cu question standard is very high in comparison to their classroom teaching

The courses curriculum depends on the department of engineering.If you are persuing civil engineering then the curriculum will obviously differ from the computer engineering.but overall if you get good colleges then the curriculum and faculty members will automatically be good provided some exceptions

ASUTOSH COLLEGE

Campus is very neat and clean. No ragging can be spotted in our campus. The student union is very helpful. There are many extra caricular activities are always arranged for students. Our faculties are so helpful to us.

Dislikes

Some of classrooms don't have propper air ventilation system.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If a student completes a master's after completing his bachelor's degree in this subject, there is a huge scope for placement in the domain of data analysis. There are around 50 students in our dependent and 5 professors and 2 non-teaching staff in our dependent. They all had completed their Ph.D. They teach us manually using board and chalk. In the semester system, we hardly have 4 months for each semester. If compared to other data base BSc courses, then I think Statistics is much harder to pass than other streams.
