Indira Gandhi Government Medical College & Hospital Nagpur Faculty

The college has a student intake of 150 per batch, divided into 4 batches of 50 for practical purposes, with an overall faculty to student ratio of 1:25, which is deemed sufficient for a good learning experience. The faculty comprises more than 15 lecturers, each specializing in different subjects, with departments such as Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year, and a comprehensive curriculum across subsequent years including clinical and non-clinical branches.

Daily academic lectures and clinical postings enhance practical exposure, with 4 lectures and 3 hours of clinical postings per day. Attendance is strictly monitored, requiring 75% lecture and 80% practical attendance for university exam eligibility. Internal exams are conducted regularly, and students must score a minimum of 50% in college exams to be eligible for MUHS Nashik's annual university exam.
