- Teaching faculty is good.the teachers here are experienced and have a lot of knowledge regarding their respective subjects and are helpful and keen to teach
- Technical fest and other tour like shimla,manali,is great opportunity to explore
- Course is well designed for bachelor of engineering not extra subject here which was not use in our future in other universities 2years physics,maths are compulsory but here it is not.syllabus and curriculum are very good here.faculty are good here.
Dislikes
- The course curriculum can be demanding and require a lot of hard work from students.
- Overall the course is beneficial from the future perspective but the teachers that are in the branch are the most hated part .
- The teachers no doubt teach good but the behaviour they show towards children is depressing for me till now.

- UIET is improvising in terms of placements, if you are worthy enough and have put efforts throughout, you will get placed easily. TPC is very responsible and understanding.
- Oxygen rich water coolers, library and reading halls are very good.
- Experienced Professors and labs like DIC and Telelabs give exposure to vrious industry level projects and interna along with research scholars. Collaborating with PGI and different orgs to provide solutions.
Dislikes
- Food Quality at Stuc and hostels and Canteen are not very good, there is a problem of proper cleanliness.
- UIET’s Campus is very small. 3 blocks and 1 canteen. You don’t get proper seating to have lunch.
- Not everyone gets hostels, you need to be ready to hunt PGs and flats through brokers with high rents.
Placement Experience:
7th semester is the placement season.
Companies visited: Amex, ZS Associates, Stonewain, KPMG, Deloitte, DeltaX, Infosys, Cognizant, Incedo, Caelius Consulting, GreyB, IndiaP2P, uTrade, L&T, Lumenci, ProcDNA, Netmartz Infotech, Unthinkable Solutions
Avg offers made: 5 (Some took 1-2, some took 10, Zs mass recruited 30 students)
Highest Package: 19 lpa by AMEX (Analyst)
Lowest: 4.5 lpa by Infosys (SDE trainee)
75% students getting their placements (expected)

- I like the mordernized culture of UIET. See UIET Chandigarh is not a any separate college, It is an Engineering department of very prestigious Panjab University. So the PU culture is very modern. It will helps you a lot in your overall development.
- So we all know that Panjab University Chandigarh is One of the best universities in India and globally also. so it is very helpful for students. If you want to pursue masters in foreign countries like USA ,Canda,Australia,UK
- Then it is very easy to join if you are a student of a Panjab University. The placement of UIET is very much good as compared to other state government and many lower NITs. And Course Fee is also very Low So ROI is very good.
Dislikes
- In UIET not everyone can get a hostel. Only Few Students Can get it. You can get a hostel by a merit list.
- In UIET department ,There is only Two Academic Blocks. So it's not big as Like NITs,IITs. But the Panjab University is very well build.
Placement Experience:
The Placements of my college are too good as compared to many other state government or NITs.from beginning of 7th semester students become eligibele for placements. so many Companies are visited here like for CSE American Express, Amazon, Zscaler, Cognizant, Deloitte, accenture etc.For ECE BEL,DRDO, Philips etc.For mechanical, Land T, Volvo eicher, Dalkia, Grail etc.

- All the professors were skilled and had a great experience in research work , they had a deep and intensive knowledge of their subject .
- The lab facilities available were top notch
- Design and innovation lab offered students an opportunity to work on real time projects of IOT as well as machine learning
Dislikes
- Limited seats in hostel . Only meritorious students have the access to it .
- Skills like machine learning and deep learning are being promoted but fields like Full Stack development , DevOps are being downsized .
- Security Guards and non-teaching staff is generally rude .
