Which college is better for an MBA in Agribusiness Management, SIIB Pune or Manage Hyderabad?

Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune (SIIB) established in 1992 is a constituent of the well-recognised Symbiosis Institute of Management. National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management also known as Manage was established in 1987 by the Ministry of Agriculture. Over the years both these institutions have been ranked amongst the top 50 B-Schools of the country. It is hard to prefer one over the other but we try to analyse a few aspects here. Course: At Manage, all courses are solely focused on the agribusiness sector and hence, the institute has a high brand value in this industry attracting lucrative offers. Also, it is run by the government, thereby ensuring quality of education and highly esteemed and experienced faculty members. Fees: At SIIB, the fees for MBA in Agri Business Management is 10.8 lacs. While at Manage, it is 6.05 lacs for the same course. Admission: For both these institutes, candidates need to meet the basic eligibility criteria of 50% throughout the academic career to apply. For SIIB, eligible students need to appear for SNAP followed by personal interview and written ability test. Manage scrutinizes students based on CAT score and then GD, followed by personal interview. Seat intake: At SIIB, the total intake for MBA in Agribusiness is 60-100 while at Manage, it is 80-120. Facilities: Both the institutions boast of the state-of-the-art infrastructure. SIIB’s library provides membership facilities like APICS, SHRM and NHRD. SIIB also has international collaborations with Dauphine University, Berlin School of Economics and Law, Lisbon School of Economics and Management. Manage serves as an international centre for processing and disseminating valuable data on agricultural management related subjects. For skill development, Manage coordinates various government welfare schemes such as FCAC and ACABC. The academic fees- Rs 4.91,000, the hostel fees is 1,02,300 with mess food fees- 52,000. There are various scholarships available for the students including top 3 students who come in merit, IIT Scholarships, and government too.

Life at SIIB

The total fee for 2 years is 16,80,000 for agribusiness division. Fee has to be paid semester wise. No extra fee is collected during the course. It includes hostel and mess fees too. Few students with annual income below 6 lakh can apply scholarships at banks such as IDFC first bank , SBI etc which provide scholarship of around 2 lakh in total.

Life at siib

We have total 4 semisters in which we have different courses like ADDM, SUPPLY CHAIN, MARKETING, COST ACCOUNTING etc. We have internal evalution containing 60% while final written exam of 40%. Internal evaluation includes presentation, midterm exam etc.

About my college life

The course curriculum of first and second semester is quite extensive where there were 16 and 14 subjects respectively. So, the exams used to happen for at least 3 weeks.The Exams And Labs were Very Frequent Leaving You With A Hectic Day and we urgently needed sleep once the exams were over.

We have total four semisters in which we have internship in industry after completion of 1st year. Subjects like Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain etc are there in our course. We have both Internal as well as External exams i.e. 60 marks and 40 marks respectively for 1 credit course.

Life at SIIB college

Merit scholarship is provided to one student who secured highest marks.The one maintaining high cgpa will get reduction in half the amount in academic fees, that means half of the academic fees one has to pay in subsequent semester.

The course is fully related to agriculturs and its management. We have total 4 semisters in which afyer 2 semisters we have 2 months summer internship. The courses which are provided is related to real condition of the companies so that we can be able to work with the companies. We get a good knowledge and training about the courses and experiments.

Review you college - SIIB, PUNE

Loan facility through HDFC credila and avanse finance at 10.15% interest. College is not directly involved in getting loans. 50% tuition fees waiver academic scholarship to the topper of the batch. Only 1 student receives this in the course.

Siib Agriculture Business 2017-19

College provide scholarship of 1.2 lakh per semester who tops the semester exam. It includes hard work and dedication to top in each and every semester exam and grab 4.8 lakh in 4 semester. There are three department so for each department each topper student gets the scholarship.
