Admission to the college requires prospective students to obtain and submit an application form in person, as online applications are not available. After submission, candidates must check the merit list for selection and attend counseling to choose their course. The college is known for its excellent faculty in lower Assam and offers well-equipped labs with new apparatus. Though the faculty-to-student ratio could improve, teachers are dedicated to providing quality instruction and are accessible for student queries.
Annual admission fees range from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000, with additional semester fees between Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,800. As a government institution, the college does not offer direct placements or professional courses but provides training and motivational sessions. About 10% of students secure placements, with the highest salary package reaching approximately 500,000 INR per year. Scholarships are available for SC/ST and OBC students, providing Rs 8,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively.
Students with parental incomes under Rs 1 lakh annually may receive free admission. High achievers from high school can apply for the Ishan Uday Scholarship, which offers Rs 5,000 monthly. Tuition fees are kept low and may be waived for students with income or BPL certificates. Although scholarship opportunities are limited, they are accessible, and service charges are minimal.
