Admission to the college is based on the PG CET exam conducted by Mysore University. The seat allocation is structured to include various quotas: for Mysore University students, there are 10 seats for General Merit (GM), 4 for SC, 1 for ST, and several others for different categories and the Kannada medium. Students from other universities have separate allocations, including 2 seats for GM and other specific quotas. The faculty is highly qualified with a strong emphasis on research, especially with postgraduate students.
The fee structure varies; for B.Sc. under the government quota, it's under Rs. 4,000. M.Sc. fees differ based on parental income: Rs. 17,000 if below Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 22,000 if above, Rs. 50,000 for a private seat, and Rs. 71,000 for students with higher income. Placement opportunities are mainly available for B.Sc. and BCA students with companies like Wipro and Infosys, though the college does not offer extensive placement exams or support. Scholarships are awarded for high academic achievement, with the Vidhyasiri scholarship from the Government of Karnataka available to all students.
