Government First Grade College, Shankaranarayana was founded in the year 1991. The College was established by the Karnataka Government with the noble intension of imparting quality education to the rural youth. The College is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangalore Recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and accredited by National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). The aim of the college is to make the Institution a Centre of Academic excellence & to provide career oriented education. The college has been offering three year Bachelor degree courses in Arts and Commerce streams. The college has good infrastructure and student amenities. It has a modern one storied building and constructed and maintained by Public Works Department.

Our collage is government collage. This college help to middle class students for complete our education. because I am also a middle class girl. In this college good campus good teaching staffs and good students also in this collage girls students are more compare to other college. First and mostly I applied this college. And admission process is our college office staffs gives a admission forms and we fill it in a right manners and return after filling the form correctly.
