SKIT Admission Dates 2026

B.Tech admissions at SKIT for the 2026-27 session are processed through the REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) state counselling, based on JEE Main 2026 scores. MBA admissions are based on CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores. As of September 2026, REAP 2026 counselling is in its final rounds, and direct admission may be available for remaining seats in select programmes.

SKIT Courses and Fees

SKIT offers B.Tech in 9 engineering disciplines, M.Tech in 5 specialisations, an MBA programme, and Ph.D. research across 5 disciplines. The B.Tech fee for all branches is uniform at INR 5,21,972 for the full 4-year duration. Hostel facilities are available on campus, with annual fees ranging from INR 1,14,000 to INR 1,66,000.

Among the nine B.Tech branches, CSE and CSE (IoT) attract the highest intake. The Data Sciences branch reflects SKIT’s commitment to emerging technology programmes. The M.Tech in Renewable Energy is aligned with the research centre focus on sustainable engineering.

SKIT Admission Process

SKIT being affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) follows the state-level REAP counselling for B.Tech admissions. The institute holds autonomous status, which allows it some independence in curriculum design, but seat allotment for most B.Tech seats follows the state process.

B.Tech Admissions

• Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST) as per AICTE norms.
• Entrance Exam: JEE Main score is the primary qualifier.
• Selection Process: State-level REAP counselling by Board of Technical Education Rajasthan (BTER). Students register on the REAP portal, fill branch and institute preferences, and are allotted seats based on JEE Main rank and reservation category.
• Management Quota: Some seats may be filled through SKIT’s direct admission process after REAP rounds. Eligibility is 10+2 with PCM and a valid JEE Main score.

CSE and IT branches at SKIT historically attract students with JEE Main percentile scores in the 70 to 85 range through REAP. Civil and Mechanical branches see admissions at lower percentile brackets.

B.Tech Lateral Entry

Diploma holders in Engineering are eligible for direct admission to the 2nd year of B.Tech. Admission is through REAP LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test). Minimum 60% aggregate in Diploma is required.

MBA Admissions

• Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate.
• Entrance Exam: Valid CAT, MAT, or CMAT score.
• Selection Process: SKIT shortlists candidates based on entrance exam score, followed by a group discussion and personal interview round.

M.Tech and Ph.D. Admissions

M.Tech admission requires a relevant B.Tech and a valid GATE score or a qualifying RTU PG admission test. Ph.D. admissions follow RTU’s PhD regulations. Candidates with UGC-NET or GATE qualifications may receive exemptions from the PhD entrance test.

SKIT Placements

The SKIT Training and Placement Cell recorded 555 placement offers for the 2025 graduating batch, with the highest package reported at INR 29 LPA. The NIRF 2025 submission data reports a median salary of INR 5.06 LPA for placed graduates, making it one of the more transparent private engineering colleges in Rajasthan in terms of NIRF-disclosed salary data.

The placement record for the 2024 batch showed 444 offers, indicating year-on-year growth in offer volume. Major recruiters span IT services, product companies, core engineering, and finance sectors.

Key campus recruiters include Accenture, Capgemini, Collabera Technologies, Aditya Birla Group, Bharti Airtel, Adani Group, Apollo Tyres, Bosch, and Essar Steel. CSE and IT graduates account for the highest share of offers. Core engineering roles in Mechanical and Civil are primarily from manufacturing and infrastructure sector firms.
