SJCE offers admission in various courses at the UG and PG levels in different specializations. It offers B.Tech as its flagship program in 9 different specializations. Admission to B.Tech programs is based on scores in KCET for Karnataka students, followed by the KEA counselling process, and COMEDK for both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students, followed by the COMEDK counselling process. The tuition fees for the B.Tech programs range from INR 1.16 Lakhs to INR 2,64 per year. SJCE Mysore PG Admission 2025

SJCE Mysore offers PG programs in M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. Admission to PG programs is based on entrance exams, followed by centralized counseling by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). For MCA and MBA, 50% of the seats are also filled through management quota. The Total fees for PG courses range from INR 1.28 Lakhs to INR 1.51 Lakhs, depending on the specialization.

SJCE Mysore Admission Process 2025

SJCE offers admission for B.Tech or B.E. programs through KCET and COMEDK UGET entrance exams. The following are the steps that are involved in the admission process into SJCE Mysore.

Admission through KCET
- Karnataka candidates have to apply for the KCET entrance exam on the KEA website.
- Appear for the KCET exam, after the results, participate in the KEA counselling process.
- In the counselling process, candidates can choose SJCE Mysore as their preferred college.
- After that, candidates can pay the fee through the KEA portal and report to the college.
- Admission is based on KCET rank, category, and preferences.
Admission Through COMEDK
- Candidates have to register for the COMEDK UGET entrance exam (open to all Karnataka & Non-Karnataka candidates) on the COMEDK website.
- Appear for the COMEDK exam.
- After the result, participate in the COMEDK central counselling, and select SJCE Mysore during the counselling rounds.
- Admission is based on the COMEDK rank, category, and preferences.
- Pay the fee, and report to SJCE Mysore to complete the admission.

Ques. What are the entrance exams accepted for B.E. at SJCE?

Ans. For B.E. admission, SJCE accepts KCET (for Karnataka students), COMEDK (for non-Karnataka students), and management quota. Candidates must participate in counselling after completing the entrance exam to get admission.

Ques. Who can apply through KCET and COMEDK to join SJCE?

Ans. Karnataka students can apply through KCET, and non-Karnataka students through COMEDK. Both entrance exams are accepted for admission at SJCE Mysore.

Ques. Is there a management quota at SJCE Mysore?

Ans. Yes, SJCE offers management quota seats, which allow students to get admission without KCET or COMEDK rank. Candidates must have minimum eligibility criteria, and the fees are higher than government quota seats. 5% of the seats are filled by the management of the college for the aided courses, and 50% of the seats are filled by the college for the unaided courses.

Ques. Does SJCE offer lateral entry to B.Tech?

Ans. Yes, SJCE allows lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech for students who completed a Diploma from an AICTE-approved institution. Candidates must pass a Diploma with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant branch. Admission is based on the DCET exam, followed by KEA Counselling.

Electronics and Instrumentation branch is truly underrated!

Admission:

The admission process to this branch will be based on KCET only. Eligibility is 12th pass in science stream and should a Karnataka student to write kcet. The cutoff for this branch is higher than electronics and communication and electrical engineering due to a lack of information about this branch.

Admission:

I had got my admission to the college through KCET.while COMEDK can also get you a seat in the institute.I had secured a rank of 4294 in the KCET exam which gained me a merit seat in general category for CSBS.The admission process was hassle free as after the exam the college is allocated and one can visit the allocated centre with the documents mentioned and complete the admission process.

My application process was a bit difficult process because I had been through an entrance exam to join the engineering course in this college the exam I have been through had a rank as not expected and crossed over 3 rounds of seat allotment for BE in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering the cutoff was about 60000 in the third round. After the third round, I was placed in this college luckily and the admission process was fast enough and got admitted in 2 to 3 hours then I started my course the very next day.
