All about MAIT college

Likes

My College is good for computer science students it provide you good peers from which you can learn and build.
There is no as such strictness for attendence if come 3 days in a week that would be sufficient.
Here my faculties are supportive and encouraging and resolve any query related to academics

Dislikes

The campus here is small don't have large area to visit
In my cllg sports facilities are less and groud is also small. If you come here for sports there is no such things.
The location of this college is remote too far from metro station.

Admission:

I choose this college because I didn't get admission in nsut and dtu. After that this college was the best option among the rest of all. I have applied for other counsellings also but 8 didn't got any nice college there so I chose this. Here admission process is simple register in ipu councelling if you got college book ur slot and report to the college when the release there admission circular.

I like the teacher staff they are friendly and very kind
I like the campus maintenance it is well maintained and clean
College campus have veriety of stalls like Nescafe and food stalls

Dislikes

Toilets they are not very cleaned and smells
Classrooms they don't have AC in every classroom and most of them are not working
The campus area is pretty small not much to explore

I chooses this college because it was the best college I was getting among the all because of the college placement faculty and environment it's the best college under ip university after the main campus which is in dwarkaand the admission process is through JEE exam they take students based on their performance in JEE exam

Well, the some of the teachers are really helpful.

Dislikes

Placement cell is really rude and abusive.
The administration is not open to much cultural activities.
The control of the college is not in the hands of professional (Dean, Director, etc.) and everything is a decided by a council of rich, old, orthodox men, the so-called founders, chairpersons, etc.

To get admission in this college, I had to apply through the GGSIPU portal. I chose this college because it was the best one I could get with CS branch in my rank. My other options were DTU, but I was being offered Mechanical or Civil there.

Things you should know before choosing Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology

Likes

The college fees for B.Tech is very affordable.
The girls to boys ratio is also decent here.
The staff is also very lenient especially for attendance.

Dislikes

The campus area is not so big, it only covers around 10 acre.
In this college, fests are not well managed and every event happens in the daylight.
The cafés are not so great here, and the location is half and hour away from the metro station

Admission:

This college offered me computer science degree at low rank of JEE Mains, and for the other college, the rank requirement is higher for the same degree and I dont want to go to the lower branch of some NIT or DTU/ NSUT.

College with better ROI

Likes

Not very strict attendence policy which can help in building new skills appart from academics.
Low fees structure which results in good roi.
Some teachers are really loveable they are like big brothers.

Dislikes

Very few companies vist on csmpus for palcement with double digit package
Most of the students in core branches (EEE, MECH) get very low package and few of them remains unplaced.
Overcrowded campus, some egoistic theching faculties.

Admission:

This is the best college i am getting at my rank. If i have scored very good rank in jee main then i defenitely go for other options like dtu/nsut. Admission is given on the basis of jee main through ggsipu councelling. You have to score 55% aggregiate in your class 12th.

I like teachers politeness and they understand students problems
Administration staff is also supportive they ready to help students

Gender ration is so unequal for btech 50:10
There exists a nepotism in the college that give admission to a bad rank student from management quota

I applied for DTU but I am getting electrical engineer also I am getting CSE in MAIT, after some research i conclude that CSE in MAIT is so good as compared to Electrical engineer in DTU, DTU have a large campus size but low placement rate in electrical

Likes

Professors are supportive and helps to guide.
Professors are very polite and attendance are not strictly required
Good placement in tech branches , companies come to hires the student.

Dislikes

College campus are very small with respect to number of student , so it becomes very crowded.
Tution fees are very high and it disappeared from loan list like vidya lakshmi port student credit card list.
Full semester , exam is running like 2 mid term and one end sem including practical, viva

Admission:

I choose this college due to many reasons like here 75 percent attendance is not required strictly. Here placement rate is also high if we compare to other delhi private colleges. Here 75 percent in 12th board is not required.

the girls and boys ratio is okay but in my class there are 6 girls out of 76 students
the faculty are okay okay, you to preparer by own for placemetn and internship
the people here are dedicated but some are not

Dislikes

it is very far from metro , alse there is no nearby place to hang out
there are teacher who ask u to study irrelevenet things

i choose this college coz i got tech branch here , i was getting electrical in nsut and mechanical in dtu and also in nsut east campus i was getting cse with ai ml and also i was looking for a coding collge and it is my worst decision

IPU–CET is the annual university level entrance test conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) to induct students to its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the affiliated colleges as well as its own schools.

These are the ranks of the last round after which admission stops. Aim for a rank lower than that for getting admission in earlier rounds. Also as these are last-round ranks there is very little chance of the ranks getting any lower than that.

If you are from the general category, then it is a bit difficult to get MAIT with a 5,160 rank in the spot round. However, you can try for the Mechanical branch in the third round of counseling.

Among MAIT, and BVP the former is the better option when compared in terms of academics, opportunities, and placement records of past years. The placement statistics recorded as per the latest recruitment drive are as follows for both the colleges.

My cousin studies at MAIT. He was a Delhiite and easily got through to the IT program. If your rank is 6,000 and you want IT or ECE, you need to sure about the following:

Are you a Delhiite or a non Delhiite? If you are, then surely there are great chances for you to get into IT.
If you are not from Delhi then you can easily get into ECE either through the spot round or with the help of the main cutoff.

Both branches are good and the faculty for IT and ECE at MAIT is also excellent. The placements in these departments depend upon the amount of hard work you put in. However, the placement rate is almost always near 100.

Although, there are no safe and sure predictions for this because if luck favors you, they might even get ECE in the MAIT in spot counseling.

But with your rank, you can easily get into BVP or MSIT, so keep your options open and keep working towards it because overall in my estimation, the spot round will see you through.

How likely is it to get MAIT 1st shift CSE in the spot round? My rank is 1,770 and currently have been allotted in the 2nd shift CSE. The cutoff in the last round of the 1st shift is 1,336.

One of my friends studied at MAIT. According to him, it is one of the decent choices for pursuing your engineering degree. The admission in MAIT depends upon various factors like:

Delhi (Home State) or Outside Delhi student.
General/ OBC/ SC/ ST/ Defense Category/ Physically Handicapped/ J&K Migrants.
Branch and Shift of program.
Rank-wise cut-off for all the colleges in different branches of engineering belonging to all the above categories.

Yes, with a rank of 1953 you can get a CSE seat in both MAIT and MSIT, in the first shift itself. The points below provide a brief overview of your chances to get a seat with the specified rank, along with the requirement of counseling.

In MAIT, there is a little less chance of getting a seat in the first shift. But, with such a rank you have a good enough chance of getting one at the spot counseling rounds.
If you get a seat in CSE in either of the two institutes, you should book it as soon as it is offered, even if it is in the evening shift.
There are several misconceptions about the second shift being of lesser value, which is not the actual case.
There are almost equal amounts of job opportunities. You should be patient until the spot counseling.
Meanwhile, you can also take admission in IT at either of the two institutes, which is a safe option.
For students from Delhi, there are good enough chances for getting the IT seat, but for students from other states, it is usually difficult in online counseling.

Therefore, there are good chances for you to get a CSE first shift seat in the spot counseling rounds.

Will I get CSC at MAIT with a rank of 2351 in IPUCET?

You will definitely get the first shift in CSE at MAIT if you are from Delhi. However, you will not get the first shift from first counseling. If you are not a resident of Delhi, there are slim chances for you to get into MAIT. Even if you do end up getting admission to MAIT, you will probably get the second shift which I’ve heard from a friend of mine is just as good as the first shift.

According to the recent trends, the required cutoffs for MAIT for home students are from 15285 to 42615 and that from other states is 17952-27611.
