KIT Kanpur B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The college requires prospective students to take the UPSEE entrance exam, with applications accepted from January to February and the exam held in May. Admission is based on exam rank, followed by a counseling process to select the preferred college and stream. Known for its Electronics and Communication Engineering program, the college offers strong placements and qualified faculty. The examination system is divided into Formative (60 marks), Summative (30 marks), and Attendance (10 marks) assessments. The fee structure, which has increased annually, was 95,000 INR for the first year in 2009 and 85,000 INR for the subsequent years. Currently, ECE/EE programs charge 65,000 INR annually, while BTech Computer Science costs approximately 1.3 lakhs per year. Despite high fees, there are no additional charges, and various scholarships, including the UP scholarship, are available.

The college boasts a 99% placement rate, but prominent companies are less frequent; average starting packages are around 30,000 INR annually, with most offers from startups ranging from 3-4 LPA. Internship opportunities are limited, requiring students to seek external options. The college provides a placement cell and training programs to enhance professional skills. Scholarships are available for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS students, with fewer opportunities for general category students.
