The faculty staff is well educated and use innovative methods to teach the students so each student can get full attention and easily understand the topic
The most recent festival that held in the college was youth festival, daviet is winning the overall trophy in this festival for the past 21 years.
The admission process is very easy and simple, there are teachers who help you there for admission.

Dislikes

I don't like the practical file system because it is waste of time for the students as it doesn't contribute towards learning, just waste of money in printing
There is the work that has no relation with your personal and professional development you have to write big files, assignments , tutorial sheets for no reason .That is plenty of time wasting
I don't like the lab because there is nothing like practical, its just a theory based college and they focus only 0.5 percent in practical work

Affordable and Worth it !

Likes

Library: The library is really amazing here. There are seperate stidy desks to study and mostly all needed books sre available. Even the exam preparation books are also available. Washrom facilty is also there. The latest magazines are also available
Faculty: The Faculty is really very supportive here. Even the tutorials are held and checked by the Faculty. We can ask any doubt at the free time. Its really supportive.
Games: There are ample of games and events we can take part in. Even BGMI gaming event was held. Badminton court, tabble tennis, basketball court, football ground is also there.

Dislikes

Files system: Here the student has to create and submit number of files for a good assesment
Washrooms: the washrooms are very basic here. Like its just okay but not that much good
Infrastructure: You may feel the Infrastructure less maintained at some places in college.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem the students are eligible for the the campus placements here. There are regular placements drives offered to the students Many mncs visited here like zscalar, infosys, SAP, TCS and many more.

Good Infrastructure And everything good in the college
Campus is very good as compare to other colleges , they don't hava good infrastructure So that's why not the people will encourage to go out and lokk for that college that' a college who did't Give you a good study

Form past 2-3 years every college has the placement issues because after the AI has come everyone want to use it make a good carrer so that' why the college Give placements to all to make the better future

FACULTY IS VERY MUCH SUPPORTIVE AND HELP YOU THROUGH EVERYTTHING
MANAGEMENT ARE GOOD AND VERY MUCH SUPPORTIVE.
INFRASTRUCTURE OF COLLEGE IS VERY MODERN PROVIDING LATEST TECHNOLOGY ON EVERYTHING

Dislikes

ATTENDANCE POLICY COULD BE BETTER . THERE SHOULD BE BIOMETRIC FOR ATTENDANCE.
THEY SHOULD NEED TO PROVIDE 6 MOTH INDUSTRIAL TRAINING AT THEIR OWN COST
LIBRARY CHARGE SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN NORMAL

PLACEMENT FACILITY PROVIDE BY THE COLLEGE IS EXCELLENT . EVERY THEY CONDUCT PLACEMENT DRIVE AND BEFORE PLACEMENT THEY ALSO GIVE TRAINING FOR PLACEMENT LIKE PRESENTATION SKILLS, CONFIDENCE, COMMUNICATION .

Best college for btech in punjab

Likes

Faculty is very supportive and helpful . You can easily understand all the topics in class itself
College has well managed library and laboratory with fully air conditioned and wifi supported
Campus has all the facilities like playgrounds library auditorium etc

Dislikes

The curriculum is not up to date it focus more on theory
The campus size is small as compared to other colleges
A total of 3 exam happens per year so less time for extra curriculum activities

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is very good a student can easily get placement in btech branch other branches has a comparatively less placement then btech . The highest placement is 70lakh and average package is 3-4 lakh

The campus is spacious with a beautiful garden in the centre.
The faculty is quite experienced and their teaching methods are also very good which take in consideration all type of students.
The placement cell provides good support for career advancement .

Dislikes

Placements are average and not many good companies visit the campus.
Internship opportunities are also limited as not many companies visit for internship on campus.
The classrooms don't have Aur conditioning, so it's very hot in summer . And the labs avg computers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum's emphasis on programming languages (Python, Java, C++), data structures, algorithms, computer networks, database management systems, and software engineering drew me to this course. Additionally, the inclusion of cutting-edge electives like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, and Internet of Things (IoT) ensures students stay industry-relevant - Project-based learning - Industry collaborations - Internships - Guest lectures To enhance the curriculum and teaching methods, I suggest: - Incorporating more hands-on, project-based learning experiences - Inviting industry experts for regular workshops and lectures - Expanding the scope of electives to include emerging technologies like Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and DevOps - Encouraging students to participate in hackathons, coding competitions, and research conferences. - Providing more opportunities for internships and industry interactions. Two mid sem exams are held in a semester and a end sem .

Placement Experience:

Mostly students are eligible in 7th semester for campus placement. Companies like wipro, TCS, GreyB, tech. Mahindra, and many more visits for placement and their package ranges from 4-10 lpa. Highest package offered was 15 LPA as fresher and average package ranges from 4-7 LPA. Almost 90% + students got placed in reputed companies. I'm also looking for ON- campus placement where i can showcase my skills

Likes

Here the institution is engaged with with cultural activities and as well as with studies both goes hand in hand
Due to the availability of genuine strength teachers can take doubt if particular students
Students are provided with good and helpful facility members

Dislikes

Holidays are very less like after the end of 1st year students are provided with training but no holidays are given
The campus is well is much big or we can say everything is well occupied

My decision for this course is that from the very starting like every kid has that curiosity like how game development , how webpages are built and what is the mechanism of working of websites . All this stuff awoke ths interest with in me to choose this course

The infrastructure is good having trees in the garden area make it looking amazing .Inhaling fresh air
The fee system is very good .Unlike the other engineering institutions where the fee is very high .Fee system allows less burden on the middle class families .My fees here as a cse student is around 95k for a year .For 4 years it is around 4 lakhs
The college library is very good having many useful books for the students and atmosphere is quiet Good

Dislikes

The biggest issue in this college is the Attendance issue that really affects the acedmics of student .You will get 0 marks out of 6 even after having 75% of attendance.It increases by 1 mark on every 5% attendancefor example1 mark for 80% 6 for 100%
The teachers here are just there for attendance they don't teach well just theory theory here .They can't make you industry ready . They just go behind marks and appreciate people who are cramming only.
Placements here are not that they claim!! They claim the highest package to be 70 Lpa but that person had *off campus placement*.There are many such cases .

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem the students are eligible for campus placements .The companies coming here are Infosys,Wipro,tcs which recruits students in bulk.companies like zscaler recruits at good packages like 10 lpa .Syndigo,Maxar have gave the highest packages of the campus history to the students of 54lpa and 70 Lpa respectively (but they are off campus) . Around 60-70% students gets placed

My college life in DAVIET College

Likes

Faculty, teachers are very nice in IT field but in civil or electronics the teachers and faculty are very bad specially in Civil engineering branch so I recommend go for Information and technology or computer science branch.
Campus are not too big it is good enough but the staff there started whispering too early and don't want us to sit comfortably
Library is very good and suitable for study for the students who wants to study in peace

As discussed earlier campus is not big enough in dav institute of engineering and technology in Jalandhar Punjab

Placement Experience:

College placements starts form 7th semester . Many IT companies come for the placements such as WIPRO, MICROSOFT, Microelectronics and many others. Packages depend on the post and the company. Average package is nearly about 4lakh per year
