College of Engineering Vadakara (CEV) formerly known as Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara, is the first engineering college under Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) established by Govt. of Kerala in the year 1999. The College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Co-operative Institute of Technology offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech Lateral under UG Program to the eligible candidates who want to build their career in the field of Engineering. Apart from the UG courses, the college also offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and MCA lateral at postgraduate level.
- Admission to the B.Tech programs are done through Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala.

College of Engineering, Vadakara offers undergraduate courses like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech Lateral to the students who want to build their career in the field of Engineering. The B.Tech specializations are Civil engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and Information Technology. - Categorization of seats for MCA admission:
- Government seats are those seats against which allotment will be made by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology under the supervision of Director of Technical Education based on the rank list published by him.
- Management seats are those seats set apart in Aided/Self-financing institutions to be filled up by the Management concerned on the basis of the Supreme Court direction and Government Orders on this behalf.
- Lapsed seats are those seats that may be filled up by the institution itself when the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology intimates that he would not be allotting any more candidates against such seats.

Application for appearing in the MCA Entrance Examination
- Candidates seeking admission to the course have to apply online through the website of the Director of LBS Centre for Science and Technology.
- Application Fee for General and SEBC candidates is INR 1,000 (Rupees Thousand Only). In the case of SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits the application fee is INR 500 (Rupees Five Hundred Only).
- Application fee can be remitted at any one of the branches of the Scheduled Bank (to be notified) in Kerala.

- The application fee for B.Tech courses under NRI quota seats will be INR 600 which shall be remitted only by way of Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of Travancore in favor of the Principal of concerned Engineering Colleges.
- No fee concession shall be allowed to SC/ST/SEBC/OBC/OEC candidates.
- Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Applications without application fee will summarily be rejected.
