Q1. What is the difference between B.Tech (Manufacturing Technology) regular and B.Tech {Lateral} (Manufacturing Engineering) at CIPET Lucknow?
Ans. The regular B.Tech (Manufacturing Technology) is a 4-year programme starting from the 1st year, open to 10+2 (PCM) students. The B.Tech {Lateral} (Manufacturing Engineering) is a 3-year programme for diploma holders who enter directly into the 2nd year. Both lead to the same AKTU B.Tech degree, but the lateral entry route is faster for diploma holders. The total fee for lateral entry (Rs. 1.65 Lakhs) is also lower than the regular B.Tech (Rs. 2.45 Lakhs).
