Admission to the college is based on a merit list derived from 12th-grade exam scores, including several compulsory subjects. The college staff includes both associate and full-time professors who are supportive, though some struggle with communication skills. The Bachelor's program, originally three years, now spans four years due to a government mandate. It includes six semesters over the first three years, with the final year focused on research and internships.
The fee structure is front-loaded, with a higher first-year fee due to a 3000 rupee admission charge, which is not repeated in subsequent years. There is also a modest infrastructure fee. Science students can access internships, with those achieving 90% or higher easily obtaining placements, earning stipends between 8,000 and 10,000 rupees. Unfortunately, arts students do not have placement opportunities. The University does not charge regular tuition fees but requires a readmission fee annually.
Scholarships are available for economically disadvantaged and backward class students.
