The main reasons why most people feel reluctant to join these courses are;

One of my cousins mentions that he lost two years of his time investing energy in this institute when it allegedly did not quite fill the void for him. This scenario has been for the campus of Hyderabad. In a nutshell, you should research thoroughly about other campuses of the same and decide if it is a fruitful choice nonetheless.

Out of the five campuses, NICMAR Pune is one of the institutes under the brand name offering PGP courses in construction and management.

The two-year PGP Infrastructure Finance and Development Management (PGP IFDM) is the most underrated course in the institute.
It gives proper exposure to financial concepts related to civil engineering. It also helps to develop techno-managerial leaders.
The best part about the course is you may get jobs in the banking sector, which is an impossible task with ACM and PEM courses.
The batch size of PGP IFDM is only 42 students. It is very little in front of the large batch size of 467 for PGP ACM.

Overall, the course is great. There are high probabilities for IFDM students to get placed in renowned companies.
