Calicut University BAJMC Journalism and Mass Communication: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The course offers a comprehensive journalism program with a faculty of five experienced professors for a cohort of 45 students. The faculty includes one professor for practical papers and four for written papers, all with substantial professional backgrounds in journalism. The curriculum features both semester-end exams and internal exams each semester. Semester-end exams, conducted by the university, are worth 65 marks for written papers and 50 marks for practical papers and include multiple-choice and essay questions.

The internal exams consist of five questions worth 2 marks each, totaling 10 marks. Students in a 3-year program take 12 exams, while those in a 4-year program take 16 exams. The college charges approximately 30,000 per semester, leading to an annual cost of about 60,000. This fee includes tuition and other necessary charges, but students need to pay an additional 300-400 per semester for university examination fees. No fee exemptions are available for SC, ST, General, or OBC categories, but scholarships may be awarded based on academic excellence.
