Ques. Is IGNOU Ph.D. Education valid for college teaching positions? Do I still need UGC NET after completing the PhD?

Ques. What is the difference between PHDES (Education) and PHDDE (Distance Education) at IGNOU?
Ans. PHDES is the Ph.D. in Education offered under the School of Education (SOE) and covers general education research areas. PHDDE is the Ph.D. in Distance Education offered under STRIDE and focuses specifically on open and distance learning, instructional design, and related areas.
