Note: UGC NET is conducted by NTA. Education candidates must qualify UGC NET (with or without JRF) in Education to be eligible for IGNOU Ph.D. Education admission. Candidates with JRF are directly called for interview (100% weightage). Candidates with UGC NET score (without JRF, Category 2 and 3 from June 2024 onwards) are shortlisted based on NET score (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage). NET score validity for PhD admission is one year.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have MA (Education) or M.Ed. from a recognised university with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD categories).
Candidates seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate (70% for reserved categories).
Candidates must have a valid UGC NET score (with or without JRF) in Education from June 2024 onwards.

Admission Process
