Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for the MCA program at Galgotias is pretty well-rounded, which is actually one of the main reasons I chose it. I really liked how the course focuses on emerging tech like AI and Machine Learning, which aligns perfectly with my interest in fields like CNNs and RAG models. In terms of real-world application, the course does a decent job of balancing theoretical concepts with practical lab work. I’ve found that the projects we do have significant level and value.
Placement Experience
To be honest, placements here are pretty decent, but they really depend on how much effort you put into your own projects, internship and how well you've enhanced your skills. You can start appearing for campus drives from the 3rd semester, so you don't get much of a break. The company list is a mix we get some big tech firms and a bunch of startups too.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the MCA program at Galgotias University is structured on a yearly basis. For my batch in the Industry Oriented Program, the annual tuition fee is approximately 240000. Aside from the tuition, there are additional charges including a one-time registration fee, caution money. Although you can avail scholarship as well upto 50 or I'm some cases even 100% If you're a board topper or topper of your college. You have outstanding achievements in sports, Ncc, have an army background, belongs to Ews category. You can definitely avail scholarship opportunities.
Campus Life
Speaking of classrooms, they’re decent, with decent tech support for presentations, though I mostly spend my time in the labs or library. The library has a good enough range of books and journals, but it does get packed during exam season, so you have to grab a spot early. For me, the best part of campus life is definitely the club culture. Being involved in student groups
Admission
When I was comparing options, I was looking for a curriculum that leaned heavily into AI and machine learning, and the program here really stood out because of its alignment with those emerging tech fields. While I explored a few other institutions, Galgotias offered the best balance of academic structure and opportunities for extra-curricular technical growth, such as the drone research and competitive labs that I’m now actively involved in.
Faculty
Ratio could be 30-70. Regarding the fee trend, the amount is fixed for the duration of the course for my batch, meaning it does not increase annually once you are enrolled. I have observed that my peers admitted through the Management quota have a different fee structure compared to those of us who joined through standard merit entry. As for financial assistance, the university does have scholarship programs based on merit, which many students in my batch have utilized to reduce their financial burden. I would suggest prospective students check the official brochure for the most current scholarship slabs, as these criteria can sometimes vary based on entrance exam scores or academic performance.
Night Life
After a long day of classes, most of us just look for a spot to chill and vent with friends. Whether it's grabbing a quick bite at the local stalls or finding a quiet corner to finish a project, the vibe is pretty laid back. Regarding safety and timings, the campus and hostels definitely have their own rules and curfews that keep things in check, so don't expect to be roaming around indefinitely. The area is generally safe.
