- mostly I like everything About NIT JSR, especially Placements, sports, sports competition, Fest, Inter NIT Competition, End Sem Examinations, The Faculty, Teaching Style, Interaction with Proff.,Campus
- Faculty Teaching Style are amazing, Mid semester and end semester toughness are moderate level, You'll be having a good exposure in extracurrculm activities such as singing, painting, dancing, Technologies, Coding, Sports
- Placement is good here, if you get into CSE background then no doubt that you'll get placed in big MNCs, Here Sports are too good and you'll get an exposure of Competition of chess, Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Inter NIT
Dislikes
- quality Mess food, stability of wifi, no working wifi is there in girls hostel, outside people visit out campus because they find short cut to go from one end to another, so no outsider should be allowed to enter into campus,campus student can roam
- The Placement of non core branches,, the placement for meta, pie branches should improve, NIRF Ranking should ALSO improve, Because of low NIrf RANKING last year no companies wanted to hire from NIT jsr
Course Curriculum Overview
I belongs to Civil Engineering, so, based on that the course curriculum is good. They teaches most of the things in classroom, and even they concern more about GATE examination. Faculty Help students solve GATE examination Questions in classroom. They take mid semester and end semester examimation in very semester but along with this some faculty take class test, Viva for practicals.
Fees and Financial Aid
NIT JSR, for my batch 2021-2025, the total academic fee is approximately around 95000 per year. This Amaount include tuition fees, mess fees, hostel fees and other mandatory academic charges. Year- wise academic fees: 1st year : 1,00,000 (approx.) 2nd Year: 90,000 3rd year: 90,000 4th Year:12,500 (because i got 6 month of internship, that's why didn't used mess and hostel fees) total academic fee for the complete course is around 3 lakhs. NOTE: I'm female and OBC caste, based on my gender and caste i have different fee structure.
Campus Life
Yeah, My overall experience in campus life is just fabulous. I was the caption of NIT Jsr Chess Team, so i really enjoyed overall campus life, you'll be having separate sports pitch like volleyball, badminton, cricket, chess, table tennis etc..
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good but there are many things to improve eg no wifi connection is there, No cleaned bathrooms, Only 2 Fans in everyroom. and mess food quality is hell. you'll get good food at Breakfast and non veg days but mostly it's hell..
Admission
I choose this College because I found this college good in term of placement, and it's near to my home town. I don't knoe much about other college but yeah i know NIT Jsr is good in almost everything, some minute cons are there but it's quite acceptable. I clear JEE Main examination and based on my rank i get NIT Jsr Civil Engineering.
Faculty
I belongs to civil engieering, with this perspective I'm sharing my view. View will be different based on the branchs, Yeah Faculties are well educated here. almost all faculty teaching style arey just amazing. but some faculty do partiality with some students in term of giving marks. I like 5 6 faculty because of their teaching style but one faculty name KK sharma set hardest Question Paper and give good marks to them who is his favorite students, whom he knows very well and except of these students, he gives E, F and P grades.
Night Life
I'm female, so generally female don't allow to hang out late at night. in time at night would be 9 to 9:30. but talking to boys perspective you'll get a lot of exposure to hangout, go to gym, parties, Cafeteria. There are many places to visit in jamshedpur for eg. jubilie park, water park, game zome, PnM mall, movie treather, and many different restuarant to visit.
