A College That Motivates Every Student

The curriculum of the MCA program offered by PIET is industry driven, integrating the theory of the subject with hands on exposure in cutting edge sectors like software development and cybersecurity. The curriculum includes personlized mentorship from professors, as well as internship and research opportunities. Honestly, when i joined the campus, i didn't expect this level of education, but my perspective changed after attending classes for a week. Also, PIET offers interdisciplinary learning, where we can select elective subjects from allied domains.

Internships are the only way by which we can get exposure to the industry while pursuing our studies. PIET has tie-ups and colloborations with leading MNCs and organizations, and these links help students get internship opportunities. Also, if you do well, the internship can convert into a full-time job opportunity. I have also done my first internship at a startup that works on cybersecurity. I learned a lot from the experienced workers, and the founder of the startup promised a job after i complete my MCA.

The Career Advancement Cell of PIET is very active, and it supports us right from the start of the program. It provides special training and organizes skill development sessions, mock interview sessions, and joint placement drives. TCS, Cloud Certitude, Capgemini, and Genpact are active recruiters that visit the campus to recruit students. A few months back, i met an MCA alumnus who got a job at Capgimini through campus placements, and that gave me a sense of satisfaction that i chose that best college.

Fees are comparatively very low at PIET when you compare it with other universities and colleges. It is not like that if they charge less fees, then there is something wrong, PIET offers the best education in a modern learning enivronment. PIET also helps students by offering various scholarship schemes to students who need financial assistance. I got a 50% tuition fee waiver because i got 2nd position in the PIET Quest exam. Along with that, PIET offers scholarships based on sports, cultural activities, single parent child and many more.

Campus life at PIET is fun. Every other day, there is a new event, seminar, workshop, or fest. The best part is that most of these events are organized by the in house clubs and societies of PIET, which are run by students. I am an active member of the Riyaaz Singing Society, which is a community of singers for students who are passionate about singing. We organize jamming sessions and open mics for students. Also, there are technical clubs such as the Robotics Club, Finatrix, Techvision Club, and many more.

Getting admission to PIET is a simple and smooth process. You need to register yourself on the official admission portal, verify your email address, upload the required documents, fill out the online application form, and pay the application fee. Once you complete these steps, you get connected with an admission counsellor who guides you throughout the process. The admission team helps with education loans, scholarships, and documentation. In my case the entire admission process was completed within a single day after submitting the online application form.

As MCA student, I am more interested in Machine Learning. I love to know how things work in the backend of AI, and our machine learning professor, Ms Anmol, is an expert in AI and also my favourite. She is very supportive and helps with any kind of doubt related to the subject. Professors help students even after the classes, and all of them have industry experience as well as good academic experience.

Nightlife at PIET is a pure vibe. Everything feels peaceful, and the greenery of the campus makes it more beautiful. My friends and i walk around the emtire campus after dinner, and that is the best part of our day. Debate sessions, and open mics are also part of the nightlife at PIET. I have made a lot of friends by talking part in debating sessions. the entire campus is safe and secure, with 24/7 CCTV surveillance and a team of male and female security guards.
