Course Curriculum Overview
I chose MBA, the MBA curriculum used to cover major factors like finance, hr, Information Technology, and marketing. For real-time applications and problem-solving, the JNTU curriculum was the best as it deals with practical issues and concerns. How ever few subjects like Business statistics for managers, and computer applications have such concepts which are very old and inappropriate for current job market conditions, I think in this area they need improvements. Before joining the college, they said it is 6 months duration from each semester, but in the second year, exams were conducted with only 4 months duration, where I felt some of the concepts were difficult to cover.
Fees and Financial Aid
My course yearly fee was 20,000, so for 2 years it is 40,000. But management used to collect extra for university fee, tuition fee, exam fee, condonation fee, management fee, and maintenance fee, everything will be 12000 - 13000 per year
Campus Life
There used to be 2 college fests every year, one is Freshers ' Day in July and another one is the annual day, which used to celebrate the farewell for seniors in March or April. There used to be plenty of books available in the library, which are related to the course and other recommended books related to current affairs, history, and general knowledge on technology. Faculty used to explain the concepts in such a way that every student can understand and try to solve real-time problems. Sadly, there are no sports activities conducted at the college. No student run groups, or any other non accademic activities were conducted during the college.
Admission
I applied to MITS COLLEGE (Madanapalle Institute of Technology) and Vishwam College, Madanapalle. But I chose MJR because of the fee structure, distance from my home, and faculty. I haven't gotten any rejections because I applied to very few colleges. In MJR, the admission process is very easy for MBA compared to other colleges, because there is no need to crack the CAT for MBA. The eligibility criteria was student should get 60% or more in his under graducation.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio used to be moderate, one professor for 30-40 students each. Principal Chandrasekhar sir is the best human in that college, and Jakeer Hussen is a professor for Business Statistics, was a very friendly person; he used to help during college time and exam time as well. Personally, I used to dislike the computer lecturer "Veena Mam" because her behaviour with students is not at all professional; she used to be very harsh with every student. There used to be 7 exams per semester, excluding one practical exam, and subjects and concepts were very easy. More that 60% of the students used to clear those exams. Curriculum was completely relevant, but it was prepared with the University norms, which are JNTU Anantapur University norms.
Night Life
To be honest, in this college, we can not expect nightlife because the college and hostel are very far from the city, and the faculty used to be very strict; they used to not allow students to leave outside. There is no gym facility, and the library used to open only during college hours. College used to be from 10:00 in the morning to 3:30 with a one-hour lunch break. Inside the campus, the only place where we can hang out is the college cafeteria; apart from that, nothing is special in this college.
Other Applied Colleges
Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science -[MITS] | Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Human Resource)
MJR college was near to my house, one of my relatives were working there and fee was less
