Infrastructure is old and needs improvement

Course Curriculum Overview

The frequency of exams is fine but timings and schedules are but hectic with no leaves and continuous exams even two exams in a day sometimes . Well some of the courses are relevant and prepare students for the real world circumstances

Class Size: 103Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The few structure is different according to different semesters . For odd and even semesters it is roughly around 1.5 lakhs ( including mess fees and tution fees ) . Scholarships are available only for some students .

Campus Life

This college has a lot of clubs catering interest of every type of students starting from cultural to sports to technical clubs . The college also has wonderful fests regarding the same , Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha are the major ones .

Admission

According to my rank in JEE advance and my interests I selected this college ..I chose IIT over others as this gives the exposure which other colleges can't ..Also this college provide all the required resources for your interests

Faculty

Faculty in this college is absolutely up to the mark of qualifications required for any particular subject . I think the curriculum can be improved according to today's needs. Overall education here is good .

Interview Experience

Yes I have given the written exam of Jee mains and Jee advance for admission in this college . i prepared from the offline coaching and online test series from the teacher's guidance and proper solving material .

Night Life

Night life is kind of disappointing mainly in the first year .The gym and the sports complex also gets closed very early like 8 pm and the 10 pm curfew for students doesn't allow them to explore much in night

Placement Experience:

After 7th sem for b.tech student and 5th sem for diploma student is ready for campus placement. The company is visited in my collage is Mahindra, Infosis, Tata, Maruti Suzuki , TCS ,Gallent.Their are near about 80% students are placed. After getting the degree I want to become a successful Mechanical Engineer.

i would rate the course curriculum as moderately relevant and avg in comprehensiveness . it covers core subjects and includes labs , which helped me choose jobs and further studies through it lacks depth in newer technologies. exams are held twice per sem plus internals and they are generally manageable if you study regularly

Placement Experience:

Placements are a core strength of IIT BHU with students becoming eligible from the 7th semster . The Placement rate is excellent consistently above 87%. Top tier companies from all sector (IT,Core,Finance,Consulting) like Google,Microsoft and Goldman Scahs recruit Heavily . the avergage package is very high often exceeding 20 lpa with top offers going much higher while others pursue hugher studis or startps.

Good Faculty but not so good placement

Placement Experience:

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Adani are the top recruiters here but many other companies also visit here. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology has its own dedicated placement cell other than Central placement cell of University of Lucknow. Approximately 70% students at placed in every batch with a median package of 3.5 LPA, and Highest package of 12 LPA.

The IIT BHU STORY

I choose iit bhu because of iit tag string mining dept and most imp the campus life which felt better than other options i have . I have options of few iits like iit dhanbad and all but iit bhu stood out the most from all other iits in terms of everyaspect as it has strong placements records and aluminia base with lots of supported startups.
